expected GIM cutoff

Hi guys,

As of now we too are in the dark as to whether GIM will take sectional cutoff or not. We recently had a change at the helm when Dr A Kalro , former director of IIM K. Now we are not sure what kind of admission policy he wants to adopt. So until u guys actually get calls later this week or maybe next,even we at GIM are guessing

i don't think gim's cut off will cross 85 percentil this time it may have sectional but its overall percentil should ne in early 80's.also plz if anyone has got gim's interview call letters plz post ut percentile:)

the short listed candidate ka result is yet to be out how can one get the call letter the result ll be out at the end of the 2nd week

AVERAGE SALARY 4 LAKHS
MEDIAN SALARY 3.6 LAKHS

Well analysing SIBM cutoffs ,its clear that GIM cutoff will be about 86-87 range or minimum 85.I got 82.65 percentile but now hope of a call from GIM diminishing fast.........

SIBM cutoff 96... for the MBA course (dual?).. ouch.

goa goes where? 90ish? also, no sectional cutoffs at symbi.. hope too for goa... GOA .. the beautiful land of beaches... here i come (no one else will take me)

Don't lose heart yaar.

for GIM the applications were closed in Dec. unlike SIBM. So general one also must be around 80-85. (If u r from Goa may be u may get extra 10 pts.!)

Hi all
Acoording to SIBM pattren i think this year GIM will also looking for more than 90%ile as i don't know any body who hav got the call frm SIBM and having %ile less than 95. So like all the management exams, their results can also make us surprise.

i think we have a valid point here. Since the application process for GIM were closed way back in december the no. of applicants would definitely be far less than SIBM. so guys like me who have percentiles like 85 or thereabouts, lets hope for the best.

hey! dont be so frustrated and disappointed. you have lots of company on this forum, disappointed one way or the other. Regarding your query i dont think this is the right thread to post it. However, with 55 percentile u cannot be sure of getting a call from any institute. tough call.

one thing for sure! gim guys are a help ful lot! i my self personally msg spidey twice and he has replied on both the occasions! thanks spidey!

And any ways the high cut off from sibm i sincerely doubt that gim and bim would have a cut off lower than 90! so guys be prepared to be shocked :grab:

i think its back to the drawing board for us and time to send my resume again! and prepare for cat 2005!

Hi folks,
SIBM calls were a real shocker I agree...But dont lose heart over GIM calls. Not yet..! SIBM calls rocketed up because they kept postponing their last date and many guys disheartened by XLRI and XIMB made use of their good scores.
With GIM , it was a lot fairer...
Only cause of concern I feel is they have very few seats to offer. Around 100. That could be a constraint on the no of calls they send out.
Anyway, let's see it through...

think of applying for xiss xime liba and itm? these insts r not too gr8... but i suppose if u WANT to do ur mba this year... ur call...

Hi,

Sorry guys , i got a little busy with studies , so couldn't reply immeadiately.

Regarding results, the official line is"before the end of the Week".thats all i could get to know.i still am not sure whether they will consider sectional cutoff or not.

Regarding cutoffs, we at GIM did not extend Deadlines and thus would have got fewer aplications than other institutes. But still the total number of applications is more than last year, so i really have no idea about where the cutoffs will be.

Regarding seats , we have a sanctioned intake of 120, and last year we had sent approximately 720 calls.
