at your percentile i do not have any doubt in GIM, BIM or liba but for sibm your quant score could be a problem

but!!!! for sibm i am not very sure as it is taking the xat for the first time so no one has any idea but it is expected to have a sectional cut off of 80% an overall in early 90%
so the liba and bim r worth apply to

Hello

Well me got dismal 82.65 percentile.Well i know its hard to say but i think GIM cutoff will be around 87-88 percentile.
This year cutoffs have been so high that predicting 80 for GIM will be bit awkward.

well buddy u havent mentioned ur %iles.
newayz gim stands for goa institute of mgmt. for more info www.gim.ac.in
application is still open for the following coll's liba, bim, sibm. sibm last date is 6th so hurry. however gim app process is over. if u have a %ile greater than 75 apply to liba, bim. if it is greater than 85 apply also to sibm.

Tthanku nitin! . I have 92.23(90/77/94.xx-Q/V/GA). But one of my friens said that GIM is for fashion guys, those who want to enjoy during their MBA course. I am from Rural Background. I fear can I adjust for such environment? And I want to do hard work to utilise the facilities to the fullest in the B-school which I join.
So, I fear to apply for GIM. Please help me.

I have applied for SIBM, applying for XIME, ITM, BIM, and got call from XIMB. Now, I fear to apply for GIM.

Can u give ranking amongst XIMB, SIBM, ITM, GIM, BIM, XIME, LIBA.

I am a fresh B.Tech. in EEE. My fovorites are Operations, sys, fin( in order).
I dont have interest in HR, Makt.

Please help.

Is it real thing that GIM cutoff went in late 70's last time or its just a rumour.On what basis they called at this percentile?And how this time scenario is different from last year????

First of all a very big sorry for being so late in replying. was busy with some work. but now on i will try to be regular in replying.

First of all let me clarify that GIM is not for fashion guys as stated by a junior member somewhere in this tread. dont get me wrong, but i think the image of Goa does mislead people .We have people from different backgrounds and locations studing here.

last year the cutoff for Gd/Pi was around 75%. This year it will reamin stable , or maybe go up by say 5 %. Again this is just an estimate.

hi,

The cutoffs for gim last year was around 80%le. This time it might go up by a few points. There were no sectional cutoffs last time although we have no information about the institute's decision about it this time. U will get through LIBA for sure but it is difficult to predict the same for GIM and BIM( with a little bit of luck u might just scrape through)

Hey guys I commited a grt mistake by not applying to GIM. :huh:
I was not sure of my performance but it was a decent performance.Now I m repenting for not applying to GIM.Is there still any chance of filling up its form by any means?GIM guyz plz reply.

Well apart from XAT percentile,what other things GIM takes into consideration for shortlisting of candidates for GD/PI.I am final year I.T Engineering student with the percentile 82.65.Any preference for engg. or commerce students?

Second thing is that will they declare result online or all shotlisted candidates will be contacted personally through postal mail???????

Hi there,
First of all last year the cutoffs were like 75-80% as Shashi has already said.
As regards to prefrences to any background, last year engineers were reffered and before that Commerce background.So can't say the trend.
The GD /PI calls will be given online. keep checking GIM website www.gim.ac.in .Also after 3-4 days you will get confirmation through Post.

hi guys dnt underestimate liba last year a friend of mine had applied there with 85prcentile but didnt get a call however she got call from ximb she called them up and alll but to no use so cant say anything

well i hav got 96.21%ile nd 99,75,79 respectivly in Quant, lang nd GK.
I hav filled the forms of SIBM nd GIM?? can i get the call inspite of lower percentile in language...?
