Well those who are saying that vacancies doesn't increase or decrease, well sbi in 2016 gave a list of 17k+ recruitment notification but recruited atmost 15k students, similary RBI decreased 2-3 seats in every region in recent assistant recruitment. Again ibps didnot mentioned anywhere in its notification that it will select in exact 1:3 ratio for interview, so the ratio called for interview can be 1:2.5 also. I am not saying that the vacancies might increase it may decerase also so lets see what ibps has in for us on 1st april.

Wazinga Signing Off,
It was a very nice experience all of u right from october till now... Now coming onto the
PG Admin/Moderators who deactivated my account.. Well thanks for that ... Now i could focus more on my SBI preparations... I had never used a single bad word/slang... U dont have any predefined set of intstructions that should be pinned on the home page where people can refer ... I was just collecting some data using google forms , u warned and u deactivated my profile at once permanentaly .... That really shows ur Disconcern towards ur users. You are no different from a private sector employer, who considers himself as the constructor or the destroyer ... Do me one last favor. Deactivitate my account on my behalf...
Last year ibps po general ki final cut off 49.9 thi if we assume that someone got just as much marks as cutoff he will get 76 that means on the weightege of 80 his marks is 30.4 . this means he need 19.5 marks out of 20 to get selected for the post
so if we go by this trend the cutoff is 52.4*.4+19.5 = 40.5 for general
by the same logic for obc last year if a candidate got just the cutoff marks he need to get atleast 15.3 marks . That means 21+15.4 =36.5
so if we go by that logic the general cutoff will be 40 to 41.5
and for obc it is 36 to 37.5

With limited number of poll strength, I am sure we cannot predict cut off. I saw someone using guassian curve and said, "anyone above 57.5 is a strong contender", but it is not necessary for a lot of candidates to be around cutoff.
My analysis, as we know IBPS has called for interview in 1:3, then it could haved lowered cutoff only to fetch those number of candidates for interview.
We can have two cases here
1. a lot of people are above 70+ and less people are below that, and cut off was reduced to meet 1:3 requirement.
2. a lot of people are below 70 and cutoff obviously came down.
We can never be sure what the distribution of marks. so any one above cutoff can have their hopes high but at the same time keep an open mind and start preparing for next exam.
General ...75 in written ..... With 10-11 marks in interview.... Sure selection

Hello everybody, I doubt to get cleared. In our notification pnb has 380 seats for UR category. But I found PNB this year hiring 3000+ PO ( 2000 internal and rest external). Since I am already working as a SWO A in PNB in was informed about it. Even if they hire SO out of 1000 minus 380, it should not be 620 only SO. Therefor, can we expect vacancies for PNB also increase? Please tell me if there is any other logic
GOT 76.......average interview....how much interview marks i could expect???

Reason for more vacancy in IBPS 2016. When IBPS declared vacancies, it was before Nov 8, 2016, ie.. before Demonetization. After the Demonetization Banks have huge load of work. Most of the branches needs extra people. This makes for lot of new demand for higher vacancies. I have heard from many of my frnds working in bank abt this issue.

Sach baat
Hi! Let me share my personal experience about banking with all of you.
My father is in SBI, my elder brother joined Canara bank as PO from IBPS CWE - 4. I worked as IDBI executive for nearly 8 months starting from Dec 15 and then resigned as I wanted to prepare for upcoming exams. So, I am jobless at present as most of you here. This makes me sufficiently able to give you all a true picture.
Bank jobs were perfect in all respect few years back. The salary was even comparable to UPSE and workload was too less. But the scenario had changed completely now. With the introductions of 5th and 6th pay commission, the salary of SSC and other government officials has increased a lot. The work style is pretty old there which is very simple and they also get to work only 5 days a week. On the other hand, banks had changed a lot. With the automation which eased core banking work, many new sectors has been included under banking. Now a bank official do many things other than banking. The competition among banks has also added to the stress in banking sector.
My father always asked us to join any government offices other than banking. But the fact is that only banking is offering so much jobs in present days. Also the recruitment process is fast and transparent.
I believe that banking job is hard but so is any other job. Yes, ssc jobs are much better but not everyone gets those job.
Also banking is better than many other jobs especially private jobs. The one thing that I like about banking is that it is an honest job. Corruption is much less here than any other government office.
So, enjoy you hard earned bank job but be prepared to burn your blood without any appraisal. It's not that easy !!
Bhaiyon pls suggest PM or OB ?
