some guys are trying to establish that AO is better than PO. Yes, it's true but only in the beginning. AO has very bad promotion policy, you get promoted to next level only after 8 years. By that time a PO becomes a scale 3 officer and earns more than AO. PO's have public interaction from which they make powerful contacts, AO's do monotonous work. PO's get more respect anyday as nobody knows about AO post. So never compare PO with AO. PO rocks!!
