There are some people who are confused as to why the cut off of ibps 4 was 49.6 with mains cut off at 82 but the cut off of ibps 5 was higher at 49.9 with mains cut off of 76.Why this anomaly?I have an explanation for this.
In ibps 4 if you add up the sectional cut offs of all subjects,you get 46 whereas the mains cut off is high at 82.So there will be chances of a really high concentration of people near 82.
In ibps 5 if you add up the sectional cut offs of all subjects,you get a high 59.5 whereas the mains cut off is 76.So as compared to ibps 4 there will be a lower concentration of people near 76 as you need to score just above the sectional cut offs for your score to be around 76 and the number of people doing it will be less compared to ibps 4.
In conclusion the concentration of people around the cut off was higher in ibps 4 compared to ibps 5.So in ibps 4 the final cut off decreased compared to ibps 5.
