Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from ICFAI_Hyderabad

Thanks for the prompt reply.

In the CFA program Brochure from ICFAI Tripura, it is mentioned that they provide a Financial analyst training program in association with Cygnus Business Consulting & Research which is a 3 month internship program. Can u please tell me what are the fees for the same and more importantly is it worth paying for??

Thanks again.

Cygnus is a part of ICFAI family- its the business consulting arm of ICFAI and doing an internship there would certainly get you in the knowhow of how consulting & business research works for various industries (your clients).

I think you should go for it because it will give you a bird-eye view and open your mind to various things you could do for your career.

All the best.

Could you please tell me how much is the fee for the same?

You have not revealed your identity or mentioned your enrollment number so that you can get clarification.
You should have directly approached university with your query on refund of placement fee by writing a mail at [email protected] for a solution.

All the best.

Yes that's what I have found out. Just visit their Tripura website. ICFAI was providing CFA from it's Tripura University. The degree was called MFA n on completion u will get charter CFA alongwith the degree of MFA. But when I visited their site few days back I found a completely different thing. All the courses except a few which ICFAI Tripura used to offer where gone. Only MBA, MCA, BBA n BCA are available now. N a new course named MIFA is introduced which I feel is the replacement for CFA(MFA), it's syllabus is same as CFA(MFA). But on completion U will only get the MIFA degree which is Master of Investment and Financial Analysis n no CFA. I don't know any reason yet for doing all these but may be coz of the fight with CFAI(US) the ICFAI has decided to stop giving CFA charter n only giving a degree. May be it has lost the case to CFAI(US) to use the CFA charter. I have searched for any news related to this but not found any uptil now. N all other courses like CPA, MSF, All certficate courses n PG Diplomas are gone. Just check it for urself if U don't beleive me. After this I also visited their Meghalaya n Sikkim site, they are the same as earlier. N few other things have also changed like the exams, now exams will be taken only two times in a year in March-April n September-October.

But can we really trust ICFAI now? They have stopped the MS-Finance last year n started MFA. MFA was not half the valueable as MS-Finance n now they have stopped MFA n replaced it with MIFA with no CFA. It means its just a Post Graduate degree on Financial analysis. What would be its value in the market now? Atleast people knew there is some type of CFA is provided in India but now only CFA(US) is present. I don't know what's going on? But atleast for the time being I can only suggest that please don't join any course from ICFAI.

hello.can anybody who got completed the CFA course can advise the todays opportunities in the stock market??

@Puys
I am looking to donate ICFAI CFA Level 1 and Level 2 books of 2004 - 05 edition to someone who would use them as a reference material or for their actual course.
In Mumbai and pickup (from western surburbs) required.
Send me a message and i will reply as soon as possible. And please request for the books onlt if you are surely planning to use them. Thanks.

ATB...

seen the website of tripura...no more CFA..no more MFA...now they have come up with a new course i.e. MIFA(Master of Investment and Financial Analysis)...but as there is a news in the air that INDIAN CFA is no more..its just the degree now..it isn't true...i got this on the site itself :
All the students who successfully complete all the six groups of the program will be awarded the Master of Investment and Financial Analysis (MIFA) Degree by the ICFAI University, Tripura. In addition, the University also confers the CFA Charter and Designation, subject to University Regulations.
So Indian CFA charter is still there...

HI all,

plz find attached the latest prospectus from ICFAI Unviersity,Tripura.

There is no doubt that the CFA charter is still in existence and is awarded after the successful competition of MIFA(Master of Investment and Financial Analysis) programme.

This is a very very good course. So,All the best to those who are appearing for CFA from ICFAI .
