CFA is the course name still and MFA is the degree given at the end of the course or is this something new you are talking about ?

MS Finance is CFA+ certain extra modules. Which is better depends on your requirements. Now you can't choose since fresh enrollments for MS Finance has been stopped due to lack of demand from candidates. Now CFA costs 51k including 6k towards exam fees. MS Finance was costing 57k plus when CFA course fee was 28k(including exams).

Hey the CFA fee without training classes remains at 25k(+4k)..The 45k thing was the CFA-MBA dual degree program where u have to pay 45k upfront and around 60k later on..look at the latest brochures

no there is nothing like that as fees will remain same in any case....
noida has got center and current fee is rs 25000 for 1st year and 20000 for 2nd year i.e. total 45000 without training classes....and 15000 more if u want classes

M nt a frqent poster on forum, but somehow decided to write something abt it after reading /going thru all the posts regulaly. First of all , I like to appreciate the So many guys from the Industry pouring in with thier comments/sugestions to help the Junior member out.
But somehow, I feel like sharing a incident whre, I met 2 persons , both qualified CFA from ICFAI @ a job interview and to shock of mine they both wr declared unsuitable for the post thy wr appearing in. The incident I am telling is of very reputed or popular KPO at GGN.
This has left me in lurch that whether i shud pursue CFA(ICFAI) or nt.
Fellow posters, pls pour in with ur comments.

I know few IIM B people who were fired by Lehman brothers this year.......so does dat means that IIM B is a bad college.....i think answer is very obvious.....All degrees are just entry points and rest depends on yr actual knowledge.....

but firing a employee is different thing than making a person return from a interview on basis of his degree..!!

see everybody knows that CFA of USA is far better but then how many are able to crack it......if u feel that u can crack it or want to give a try then go ahead.....ICFAI CFA is next to USA wala....sab ko pata hai.....but ICFAI CFA is good in india.....these are my personnel opinions and i do not intend to hurt anybody

I agree to each and every word u have said:detective:. With US CFA getting banned in india i guess having ICFAI CFA would be good (people who are looking forward to work in india).And nothing like it if u can sum it up with an MBA.

But i dont think so, there is difference while you enter a company but as you start working you yourself feel if you wants to grow you need to know everything or most of the things in detail so with my experience i must say icfai cfa is far better than cfa us (if you are looking for long run).Please dont mine as i had a dammm good experience with icfai cfa (As it is recognized in asia. I got admitted in HKUST hongkong for MBA programme and they recognizes icfai university CFA and mind it HKUST is ranked 17 in the world far ahead of all IIM's)
I think it hardly matter you do it from US or INDIA the thing that matter is your attitude how you present yourself your background etc etc

Depends on what other qualifications the persons had. Evidently CFA from ICFAI is not a qualification like MBAs from IIMs which can get you jobs irrespective of all other qulifications. I am not sure but the US CFA seems to have more stand alone value.
But that does not make the Indian CFA useless. Coupled with other qualifications probably it might add some weight to your CV. If the best qualification on your CV is the ICFAI CFA, then things don't look so positive. Even pople praising it are talking about 3l-4L jobs. A software engineer gets more than that.
