regarding fee, ICFAI have raised the fee from 24k to 45k last week (without training, placement, internship)

actually m also plannin to do cfa along wid ma mba and after doin a survey for dis i concluded dat we can do both the things together....so if u r planning to do so den go ahead....also let me knw if u get enrolled as if possible i we can enrol together coz m lookin for a company which can help in future

m a student of regular mba and have evrolled for cfa too....so as per me u can do both the things together as the course is same for group 1.so buddy if u want to get enrolled into cfa dun think much and do it as it will be really helpful for u

You would be receiving an email ( da email id u have entered in application) form from icfai as confirmation which will contain your enrollment number

Guys iam already doin CFA now in Grp A..iam finding PGDiploma in Financial Engineering quite interesting .. my querry is 'Is that entire syllabus of PGDFE already covered in CFA ? (Even tough the curriculum seems to be already found in CFA i think FE will go lot deeper than that. But on the other hand looking at the passing percentage of PGD courses(~34%) it seems to be some fundamental stuff..any info on quality of these PGDiploma courses?

True Financial Engineering is quite interesting. Financial Engineering is more quant intensive than CFA. Infact most professionals in Financial Engineering have engineering backgrounds or physics phds. It is more into quantitavie analysis and financial modeling. Knowledge of C++ is also required. It goes without saying that it is one of the best paying jobs in the world. I have attached a file relating to financial engineering. In my opinon I think CFA and PGDFE complement each other. There will some overlapping of few topics but PGDFE is a different from CFA

Hey thanks i have already read this file posted in some other thread(QF)..All my doubt was this PGD program from icfai doesn't seems to be a competitive one..But at 17k this might have some good value..Unfortunately we hardly have any institute in india offering such programs

. hii. i tink you should be doin cfa.. as it gives you a better opening in different industries. and the course materials and the training classes of cfa programe s excellent.. so cfa would be better opted for u. and the ms finance prog s havin a restructurning now. so the admission to ti sprog s on a hold for the time bein.... if intrested to join for cfa pls do contact me.
