i just want to ask you people one question ye statistics wala paper jo saturday ko hai wo dena jaruri hai kya i mean pata nahin mera subject hi nahin hai statistics fir kyon dikha raha hai admit card main, i m intersted in css only so agar sat ka exam na dun to koi prob to nain hai na, plz clarify

thanx bhai got it... meri izzat bacha lee tune... ab chele ram ko kal answr bata doonga...
dx/dt toh velocity hi hoga na.... yaani ki... final velocity zero ho jaayegi jab body rest pe aayega...

yup

as the displacement is given, differentiate it once to get dx/dt = velocity and differentiate again to get d^2x/dt^2 = acceleration
now in velocity put t=0 to get u=initial velocity and final velocity is zero
now put all the known values in eqn v = u + at to get the required time
now in velocity put t=0 to get u=initial velocity and final velocity is zero
now put all the known values in eqn v = u + at to get the required time
friends allow me to sign off please... got to go...

good night all ... SD... TC
@sampras said: One qn given by the cand , I could not solve... probably related to kinematics,... of course off the topic, but please bother for solution, ... I forgot those eqns of motion...Q. If the displacement x of a body in linear motion is given by x = (-1/3)t^2+16t+3, where t is the time, then at what time the body comes to rest.??? .... some science student can help..
body comes to rest when v=0=>dx(t)/dt=0
(-1/3)*2t+16=0
1/3t=8
t=24

Good Morning All friends, we can discuss our strategies for the tier II Exam on 16.09.12, based on our respective experiences, it would help in finalising a better strategy for taking on the exam...as for me I have already posted on page279 post#5578 and

bhai ye qn kal ke railway ke section engineer ke paper mein aaya tha..maine qn note kiya lekin opn nahi........so sorry...........isi section mein 2 qn thaa... first to maine pahle hi post kar diya hai....second wala bhi put karta hoon...
if x = (root3 + 1)/2
then 4x^3+2x^2 - 8x + 7 is....
if x = (root3 + 1)/2
then 4x^3+2x^2 - 8x + 7 is....
good morning!!
@JS-M said:yr...i have tried it, nd i cudn't find any real factor of thz, must be imaginary.....Not 100% sure dude...
nahi bhai koi imaginary no . option mein nahi tha..though i have put the second qn on reply with truly, go through that it might help u to crack the nut..........

found x^2 , x^3
2 x^2=2+rt(3)
4x^3=3rt(3)+5
then i just put values
