acha bhai. just imagine what will happen when the ant will move. he takes two rounds.

A cylinder when openened will turn into a rectangle jiski height hogi 20 and jiski width hogi 2pi*r. So the cylinder will become a rectangle of width 12 and height 20. and the ant will in the fashion as the file attached.

Just observe that horizontal distance travelled by the ant is 2 complete circles i.e. 2(2pr) = 24 units

and vertical distance travelled is = height of the cylinder = 20 units.

So the path covered by the ant = hypotenuse of the right angled triangle with legs of 24 and 20 units
@rahulshaitan: thoda confuse hoon...lekin ant 2 round(spiral) laga rhi hai..so should not it be 12*2+20=44

bhai see the picture that is attached. ab usme wo pehle ek diagonal move karta hai for upar se dusre corner ki taraf move karta hai. Upar wala cornor isliye kyunki it is a cylinder and we have opened it. so he moves two diagonals as given in the figure. 1 diagonal = rt 144
so total length traveled = 2 x rt 144 = 4 rt 61

If a piece of paper is in the shape of right angled triangle and is cut along the line that is parallel to the hypotenuse, leaving a smaller triangle.There was 35% reduction in the length of the hypotenuse of the triangle.If the area of original triangle was 34 sq inches, before the cut.What is the area of smaller triangle ?

@rahulshaitan : Thanks yaar..vo attachment dekha nhi..or bas apne hi mann me kuch ka kuch imagine kar rha tha...

dude u have to imagine how the ant is moving around the cylinder....
take a piece of paper and fold it in the form of a cylinder and paste it from sides so that it doesn't open up
now,using ur pen draw a spiral path on the cylinder such that the starting and end points are in a line perpendicular to the base.
now, cut along the marking and u will get a right angled triangle whose hypotenuse is the distance traversed in one spiral move.

@007pagal : Thanks dude..got it finally..

A change making machine contains 1 rupee, 2 rupee and 5 rupee coins. The total number of coins is 300. The amount is Rs.960. If the number of 1 rupee coins and the number of 2 rupee coins are interchanged, the value comes down by Rs.40.What is the total number of 5 rupee coins?
