RULES : Rule 1 : If M1 persons can do W1 works in D1 days and M2 persons can do W2 works in D2 days then we have a very general formula in the relationship of M1D1W2 = M2D2W1
Rule 2 : If M1 persons can do W1 works in D1 days working T1 hours a day and M2 persons can do W2 works in D2 days working T2 hours a day then we have a very general formula in the relationship of M1D1T1W2= M2D2T2W1
Rule 3 : If A and B can do a piece of work in x days, B and C in y days, C and A in z days, then (A+B+C) working together will do the same work in [2xyz/(xy+yz+zx)] days.
Let [2xyz/(xy+yz+xz)] = 'r' then 'A' alone will do the same work in (yr/(y-r)) days or [2xyz/(xy+yz-zx)] days and 'B' alone will do the same work in (zr/(z-r)) days or [2xyz/(yz+zx-xy)] days and 'C' alone will do the same work in (xr/(x-r)) days or [2xyz/(xz+xy-yz)] days.
