GEMs are slowly becoming the new Untouchables, no college willing to take us
so here how calculation works. let institute xyz has 200 saeats now. so according to now reserve seats are 100 and non reserved 100.
now they will add new 25 percent seats.
so total becomes 250 seats.
so 50 percent reserved counted to 125 seats.
non reserved 125 seats.
out of this 250 seats 25 goes in 10 percent general economic quota.
so finally general economic backward 25 seats(10percent), non reserved 100 seats (same as before, no change),
and sc/st/obc reserved are 125 seats (50 percent),, i mean this is too much yar.

just out from xat further process.now no more results.i would like to say few things.i am a graduate of 2015(GEM) from reputed eng college. i appeared in mba xams first time from 2018.to all my folks who did brilliantly this year..kudos to them and best of luck..now very very important..to all GEM who secured>95 but didnt got a call at 99.xx.dont be disheartened..rather accept the truth and move foward..competition is going hell crazy and seats are limited..from next year 10% EWS RSERVATION will also come in picture and god knows what will happen then..i have spent these 4 yrs in job as well as upsc prep...life is full of opportunities..it is u who have to make it count..dont fret over iim xlri etc.ur career and life is much bigger than this.so dont let negative thoughs pop in ur mind..if u are able to onvert any of top 20 mba colleges go for them else ur choice and passion for iims.
