can anyone tell me how is XIMB for hr/bm ?
I have given CAT 2015, 16 and now 17. I have lost the count of mocks i have given. (May be little above 70). Having obsereved CAT results and mock scores closely every sinlge year here is what i think for this year.. ( Feel free to vote/comment)
You can compare CAT 17 with CAT 15.
Verbal : It was trickier this time. Scaled score of 77 was 97.5 in 15. For this year it should drop by atleast 10-11.
DILR : Little on the difficult side. Scaled score of 42 was 95-96 percentile. This year it can drop by atleast 5.
Quant : It was slightly easier than CAT 15. Scaled score of 66 was 99 percentile. It can go up by 5-7 this year.
Overall : Scaled score of 181 was 99.
Scaled score of 191 was 99.5
Scaled score of 205 was 99.78
Scaled score of 214 was 99.88
Overall 10 can be deducted for this year.
Raw scores for 99 for 2017 : Slot 1 : 153-156 Slot 2 : 160-163
Raw scores for 99.5 : Slot 1 : 165-168 Slot 2 : 170-173
Raw scores for 99.9 : Slot 1 : 180-185 Slot 2 : 185-190

What percentile can I expect in the range of 100-110 (raw score)in slot 1
In CAT16 my attempts were as follow VARC 18/ DILR 11 / quant 18. Maximum raw score would have been VARC 48 / DILR 30 / Quant 42 so OVERALL 120. my actual cat percentile was 97.81 with a scaled score of 140.xx . I am new to PG and after going through the expected scores and predictions i must confess that they are depressing. another point to note is the last year both CL/TIME predicted a raw score of 140 for 97.5%ile and for 99+ it was 152+ however it turned out that for boh the cases it was scaled score. So CHILL!!!

Hi, does anyone have the link to the official key for slot 2? forgot to download.
Expecting a raw score of 180-190(VA 52-58/LR-DI 46/QA 83-87) in cat 2017 slot2 ,
what could be my expected percentile and WILL NORMALIZATION WILL AFFECT MY SCORE BY A BIG MARGIN?( These slot1 vs slot 2 comparisions are scaring me out).
Though I have attempted both the slots(when the answer keys got released to check the level of slot 1 exam)
My opinion:
1. VA-RC : In both the slots, the passages were easy to read and VA difficult but the official answer key of RCs in slot 2 were shocking, passages(like subvium(central idea, author support action), tesla(sales), Similar discrepencies in VA). Overall, I think slot 2 was tougher by 3-5 marks.
2. LR-DI : This section was definately difficult in slot1, In slot 2, figuring easy sets/questions was definately easier than in slot 1. Overall, I think slot 1 was tougher by 9-12 marks.
3. QA: This section was more or less same in both slots,slot 2 was definately trickier, slot-1 was more direct. I cannot comment on the difference, because this was my strong section and was equally doable(for me) in both the slotS.

Does fms have a sectional cutoff of 80-85 percentile ?..I know it gives 0.4 weight age to va n 0.3 to other two ..
