I was thinking ab agle saal pocket money ke liye kuch bacchon ko tuition de dunga and pilot a model of taking fees only AFTER results and based on percentile. The spanner in the works is that my conscience will hurt if they get the percentile and not the call.ย
Twister: No GEM will guarantee any call other than the absolute best of profiles even at high percentiles. Need at least one 9 and at least one 8 in your profile to be even competitive for some calls.ย
One possible solution: SC/ST, OBC or non GEM only. GEM ko toh ab shayad CL, IMS bhi na le.ย
I am thinking harr ek GEM ko free coaching milni chahiye. Saare GEM toppers agar GEMs ko mentoring karne ke liye ready ho jae even sirf PG pe aur harr aadmi 4-5 bande uthake madad kar de.. Kuch bhala ho sakta hai because GEMs need percentile like oxygen. Yahan bhi locha hai kisi ka toh katega kyunki sabko mentoring nahin mil sakti.ย
I am unaffected by this because I could not bring myself to apply to IITD, IITB and so on but the sort of nonsense taking place actually hurts. Something has to be done to equip better those who will be forcefully disadvantaged by the selection process. Something, to advantage them before to try and equalise the injustice. ย

Just saw the Summer Placement Reports of top two baby IIMs. While Vizag has a highest of 2 Lacs, Nagpur has the highest of 1.2 Lacs. But average of Nagpur is more than that of Vizag even after having far lower 'highest' figure. Batch size is the same. What do you guys make out of it?

I was thinking of creating a predictor to help the CAT 2020 Aspirants take a well informed decision before starting the preparation for CAT 2020. If you guys can just fill the excel with the relevant data (10th Marks,12th Marks,Undergrad Domain, Undergrad Percentage, Workex and Category), I can collate collate the data post interviews and will try to come up with a predictor so that CAT 2020 aspirants can start with a realistic expectation. I am sure i can't comeup with an ย accurate predictor as we all know how screwed up our system is but even if I can come up with ball park percentiles (in case a call is possible) so that everyone knows the realistic achieveable colleges before they start preparing for 2020.

Being a GEM Fresher with X/XII/Graduation = 76/91.2/71.5 and cat percentile = 98.29,
i've converted NMIMS HR as of now,
I had my joining a day before my interview and had to miss that for my interview,
My CAP interview was an average one (super stressed) and have my MDI interview in the coming week, and only IIT D Telecom call and hopefully DFS and likes.
