I applied for IIT-D/M/R. ย Shortlisted only for Roorkee. Fcuk the system. IITs mein bhi bc gems ko chance nahi mil raha. Fcuk the admissions team, atleast could have given us a realistic AR like VGSOM, so that we can think about applying before wasting our money.ย
GEM with profile 95/90/7 and cat 98.88 15 months of finance work exp. Didn't get called in IIT madras. Hmmm?

Just checked the criteria for IIT-M. Inko dono gender and academic diversity chahiye. Ironic, considering IIT-M ki high paying placements are in the field of operations which is dominated by engineers.
With all colleges placing so much reliance on school/grad marks, which can be scored by just rote memorization, and the VAST difference in how universities give marks, I just wish they achieve what they want..because I, definitely LOST.. And diversity..20% weightage at places.. that's not even my mistake..I was born a male and there is job in IT, so I went for it..that's just a way to survive..feeling like SC/ST of the past..scowled, frowned upon.. rejected, dejected.. No place here for motivated people, who learnt from their past and are on an increasingly high performing curve. My journey is done, so I have only good wishes for the non-engineer people with good acads..you have the oppurtunity, your fruit for past hard work is here..Win it! :) Request to ALL, make future aspirants aware..cat is not for people with poor acads or GEMs..give my example, if needed..because it will hurt a lot to watch someone work hard and then lose like me.
