Anyone from Lucknow having rohtak interview on 2nd march??
Jo log last year diye the interviews, suspense kab tk rhega? I mean yeh pata kab chalta ki next yr ki prep krni, ya admission lena.. i guess waitlist number dekh k chal jata hoga.. and i guess 2 mhine waitlist chalti hogi... So pahli list kab aati colleges ki, especially iift/mdi/nitie/cap/iisc.. ๐ฅบ๐ฅบ
Guys anyone who has an acquaintance in IIM Shillong or is in IIM Shillong , please let me know the following: 1) I heard the placement report for the previous years are highly fudged and the average package is way below what is stated. Is it true? 2) It is considered to be older (and hence better) than the new IIMs but in terms of placements ,does it hold good? 3) The college brochure states that there are many consulting firms (including Bain) that visit the campus, so as a Fresher does one stand a chance to get into these firms .
I got selected in NMIMS. Also, I have a interview in Rohtak. Should I go to Rohtak all the way from Aurangabad? Should I put IIM Rohtak above NM?

IIM Rohtak Profile 91.5/86/90.3/98.35 GEM(dont ask why even i applied for rohtak) Mumbai-20th feb WAT topic- Can indian economy reach 5 trillion dollars by 2024? Was quite easy topic. Added multiple data points concluded saying "should aim for stars, then will land on moon". I think the WAT was above average considering the pool of candidates.(no disrespect for their percentile though๐๐) Interview panel- Two male panelist one welcomed me asked to sit. It was sofa kind of chair and i almost threw myself in it considering it might have hard base.Realized the mistake & apologized for same. P1: so how are you feeling? Said bit anxious. P1: so tell us the questions which you might have heard from other candidates ? Mentioned wat related questions and basic science phenomenon like scattering question.( Earlier one was asked why sky is blue) P2: so why sky is blue? Gave cliche answer mentioning blue scatters the most red least. P2: so violet should scatter most as per VIBGYOR sequence not blue? Said had same doubt but couldn't recall the same. P2: you should have googled then? Said wasn't carrying my mobile (already mentioned earlier so seemed pretty convinced) P1: so summerize your wat? Summerized it in detailed. I think due to stats included panelist didn't went further into it. P1: said you have good quant score(99%) so will give you basic probability questions. Gave one on selecting candies of different colour from 4 candies on table. I considered each candy as unique entity and solved it came up with answer. P2: so how can there be 16 cases? I explained considering each as seperate one. P2: solve by considering same colour candies as single entity. Solved got same answer told the same P2- ever heard of buyos(something like this) probability theorem? Said never heard one. P1 went somewhere inbetween. P2: plot graph of modx and y=x^3+5 Drew both. He asked multiple question on same why it wont pass through 4th quadrant how we can make it pass through 4 quadrants. Answered pretty well he seemed convinced. P1 came : tell me about extracurricular and co-curricular. Showed them sketches and all things even before could complete answer P1: you are pretty good at it so why don't you pursue the same as career? Mentioned not niche skill and requires only practice, technique and time. P2- so you are saying its not a big deal? Had to agree with it.๐ P1- so why mba Mentioned interest in trading and have been involved in same since college period and etc. P2- so tell me difference between FDI& FII Told seemed preety much convinced. P1: so you get stressed easily how will you survive mba? I didn't had a clue from where they deduced that. So said pretty good at handling the same. P2: you said yu where anxious at start. ( Defended it was early anxiety-before settling one). P2: last question for you who is I&B minister? Was just mugging up the ministers 2 hrs earlier i couldn't recall that name but somehow muttered prakash javadekar(tukka lag gaya๐๐). P1- we are done with you. P2-Good job, take a toffee picked the same mentos which ruined my probability question๐๐. Said thank you and left. Since i was 12th in panel and mine interview started at almost 12 o clock they had to finish all the next 8 candidates plus their lunch in next 1.5 hrs so they seemed pretty much in hurry. Overall was good interview and panel was also great. But quite sceptical about selection due to the unjustifiable 20 diversity marks in final composite score.
