I was allotted Noida IDZ 2 yesterday for the XAT and I reached there at 8.15 am but their biometric system was not working properly and my biometric happened at around 9.50 am and because of that my exam started at 1hour 45 minutes instead of 1 hour 65 minute and this affected my whole mindset and had to rush up with the questions. I also couldn't read instructions because of this and attempted all RC's and DM questions as it showed no negative marking. 


I wasn't the only one who faced this problem, there were around 200-300 students at the center who faced the same issue but half of them left the center after the exam. When I asked someone why was he leaving, he said "ki preparation karke aye ho kya". I didn't say anything to him after that reply. We were around 100-120 students who complained and wrote an e-mail to XLRI. Can anything be done now? 


After a horrendous CAT, I was banking on XAT to get the calls from KJ, TAPMI, GIM, FORE, and IRMA but looks like something doesn't want me to succeed in life and live a mediocre life. Let me tell you how unlucky this season has been for me. 


I was scoring around 93-95 percentile mocks in CAT consistently but come to the D-DAY, I panicked and took too much pressure and ended with a meager 81.12 percentile but this is solely on me. I shouldn't have taken this much pressure. After the CAT and I left my job to focus on other exams. I scored 151 in IIFT but couldn't clear the GK cutoff. I am expecting around 74-79 marks in SNAP. 219 in NMAT with 52 in LS. I am now going to give it all for CMAT so that I can get at least calls from GIM and KJ.


Looks like my career will start with a pretty mediocre B-school. All the best to all of you and hope all of you get in your dream B-School. And sorry if it looked like a rant or something.

Genuine question:


Is it really that necessary to take coaching for GDPI? Like, why should someone teach you how to present your points in a group or how to answer a question when some stranger asks you about yourself? Aren't these some basic things that you should be able to do naturally without someone's help?

    1. Medium of PIs would be telephonic + Video calls. A detailed feedback and improvements list would be shared with you and tracked on your successive interviews by the different mentors.
    2. The PI sessions would be ONLY taken by the B-school graduates who themselves have appeared in a dozens of interview in the last 2-3 years, and can leverage on their experience to monitor the improvement of each and every enrolled students. 
    3. Every student enrolled for the PI would have at least 2 stressed interviews. The no. of interviews would vary basis which product of GDPI, you enroll for.

Hello everyone! So, finally cat results r out and xat is over....now comes the nightmare for me...gdpi...IIM L & R already shortlisted...but i have never attended an interview before... coming from a small place nd unpopular college i never had that environment where i could explore my communication skills... It's not that i don't know what to speak... it's just that i lack in how to...so, anyone of you please help me with this....Also note that i am currently taking my last year exams nd can't attend any coaching for gdpi preparation... I need your help...Tia :)
