Team.. Could anyone post the figure & the sol for the following :

A vertical tower XY subtends the same angle of 30 degrees at each of two places P and Q, 60 m apart on the ground. If PQ subtends an angle of 120 degrees at X, the length of the tower is ?

@Kevin88 I'm getting the answer as 10root3 m when i consider X as th top of the tower and 20m when i consider it as the bottom of the tower.Neither way i'm getting the ans as 20root3 :(

@Kevin88 I'll be happy to do that.but how will i do that without a figure? All it takes is drawing the figure, applying the sine rule and using sin or tan(depending on whether X is the top or bottom)

The answer is 20 itself...MY bad!! Had copied the solution wrong. Again it was solved for both cases & mentioned as 20 or 10root3, i only saw it as 20root3..

I myself had solved it & obtained the same results but was starting to doubt my own trigo skills I think we all know wht the root cause of the problem is...

Exams - CAT,XAT, NMAT ( Haven't decided about SNAP )
Institutes - IIMs IITs, NMIMS, XLRI, XIMB. ( I don't know which other institute i have to apply for or which i am likely to get )

I thought i will forget about FMS, SP Jain, IMT and MDI cause i don't think i will end up with a really high score (96+) and i am a fresher.
Puys, please post what you are going to do.
