Hi Sir,
I have a query regarding the filling up of the SIBM application form.
In the form it has specified that we have to send a copy of our application form.I am confused that which application/registration form.
Is it the first registration page in which we had given our details(i.e scooling,garduation,address,marks...etc)?
Or is it the payment advise form which we have send to the symbiosis office?
The problem is that,if it is the second one, then while mailing the form i did not keep a copy of it with me,so instead of that can i send the first registration page along with the SIBM form?
??:
Hi,
Relax pal, give your SNAP and get a good score. The rest can be looked at later.

Pranab.

Hi Badri Narayan,
Your query is very interesting. In India experience is not mandatory for doing your MBA, but in other developed countries it is. I really feel that a few years experience enhances your chances for a good lateral placement after MBA, but its your call as we in SIBM do not discourage freshers from applying.
Regards,
Pranab.
Sir,
I am R.S. Badri Narayanan. I am doing my B.E. . I don't have any kind of industrial experience until now. So can u please guide me whetherdoing my MBA would be a right option right after doing my B.E. or whether it would be advisable doint it after i have gained 2-3 yrs of experience.
Thanking you.
Hello Prof,
I have read the interview posted here on pg,
1) I find a mention about cutoffs - "The cutoff was 83.25 marks."
Does SNAP give out a percentile? if not then about what rank would 83.25 have fetched last year?, I guess what I am trying to ask is 'how many people do you call for the second round of the selection process?'
2) Also at SIBM, how different is the placement scenario for those with prior experience when compared to students with no prior experience? I am aware of the placement scene of SIBM in general, but I would like to know more about what kind of positions are offered to experienced candidates, say with 3 years of prior experience.
Thanks in Advance.
Rock on!

Hello Sir, I graduated in Electronics and Comm Engg and currently am working as a Java/J2EE Application Programmer in IBM with currently 13 months of experience. I have a pretty good academic record and was extremely active in Extra Curricular activities during schools and college. I wish to do a MBA from either SIBM/SCMHRD. I am particularly interested in doing an MBA in HR. I wish to know approximately how much do I have to score in the SNAP to earn a call from either of these institutes. Also, how much will 13+ months of work experience in a top MNC help me in getting to your institute. Specifically, by how much does the requisite percentile to earn a call come down in such a case as mine.

Soumitra Roy
Hello Sir
I wanted to know as to whether the campus in Bangalore is residential or is optional, as I based here itself. And is the campus here offering Exec. MBA as well?
Thanks
Hi,
Our campus at Bangalore is residential. The decision on Exec. MBA is not yet taken, will inform you as and when we do.

Pranab.

Hi Soumitro,
There is actually no such magic figure which gives you an automatic call, it varies from year to year. This time we are offering more seats ie 180 at Pune & 150 at Bangalore. As far as your choice of institute goes, we always wish the best for our students and you can take your call regarding the choice between SIBM & SCMHRD.
About the importance of your experience, we consider experience during interview stage, only after you have qualified the SNAP. You can meet us on 2nd December, 2007 at Bangalore, the venue & time will be notified to all SNAP registered students shortly.
Regards,
Pranab.
