Hello I want to do an MBA from either the top ten b schools of India or the top ten of the world.(GMAT) this is my profile 10th - 93 % (cbse) 12th - 76 % (cbse) engineering(ECE) - 7.7/10 *have worked with Teach for India and national instruments as their campus ambassador. *IEEE student chapter president , student relationship coordinator at the department , over all coordinator for the departments tech fest. *worked as an event coordinator for a chennai based ngo called nizhal. *also taught kids for an year at Make a difference (part time ). *have organized national level conferences for IEEE as their industrial student representative at section level. *coordinator at section level SIGHT(special interest group in humanitarian technology) group at IEEE *Have won prizes in project presentation , collage work , event management competition at college level. * have won several prizes in poetry , dance , collage . commended by common wealth society of London for my essay in 9th std.Placed in TCS. 1. I want to know where I stand profile wise , given the amount of competition for the top schools. 2. Will my 12th marks affect my chances of entry to these schools , this doubt really worries me. 3. Should I go for a specified amount of work ex to compensate for my poor marks in 12th.If yes , what sort of a company do you suggest me to work in ?(Heard that TCS is not going to make any difference to my profile ) 4. Also can you please let me know bluntly , if I am being too ambitious. Thanks a lot for going through the whole message.your insight will be very very useful to me and will mean a lot . thanks again in advance
I am based in Pune having 10 years experience in Marketing, Customer Care, Digital Marketing.. want to do an MBA now.. Will not be able to do a full time MBA.. What do you think I should go for? My office timings do not permit me to do evening class MBAs.
Would you recommend doing Distance learning course? If so, which institutions are good?
Does it really matter if I do a PGDBA or an MBA? Which one is valued more? Would appreciate some guidance.

Hello guys I am new to this group and with an ambition to get into a top MBA institute in the country like most of you. The question which bugs me the most is, what will be the impact of the marks I obtained in my under graduation and high school have on my aspirations for a good institute? Does is weigh very heavily? What are chances to get into a good university with low marks in them? Need to clear my head on these things guys, please help. Any comments would be appreciated.

My first time here since I recently decided to pursue an MBA. I'm looking for one of the top B Schools in Asia eg. Nayang, NUS and the likes.
I'm currently pursuing CA having completed articleship from a big4 firm. I have one group of the final exam left to clear which I hope to do in Nov (fingers crossed!)
Other background includes being organiser for a TEDx for the past 3 years.
Do you think this is sufficient to have a fair shot at these schools for the 2014 intake? or should I work for 1-2 years more? I personally want to do it in 2014 but if theres absolutely no chance of me getting one of the top schools with this much background, I would be forced to push my plans to 2015 or 2016.
I have got bad acads record but wanna pursue MBA .
Can someone please tell me about pursuing MBA from NEWZEALAND or SINGAPORE.?whether its good compared to U.S and U.K.? Future SCope? And some good colleges ?
