what is expected cutoff of JE (civil) out of 350 Marks?

Are there any chances of selection in General catogary if a candidate achieves minimum qualifying marks of 140 out of 350. Because number of seats this time are large as compared to the seats in 2008.

Exam was also very tough. And it is difficult to predict the checking pattern in UPPSC. Because sometimes the examiner gives good marks and sometimes the examiner checks the paper very strictly. Depends on examiner also.

Can anybody explain the meaning of direct recuirement in UPPSC. Whether recuirement is fully base on interview or weight of acdemic record will be given.
