Earlier years new iims/baby iims used to release their lists good number of days after the main iims.but this year they have relased on at par date with them. Sooner or later,Could this lead to significant change in waitlist movement?

Hey guys, Confused between nagpur and kashipur.. I know as of today Kashipur might be a better option but considering the growth curve of nagpur I feel nagpur can be a top college down the line, say 5yrs, so I don't want to miss out on that.. Any suggestions?

This is gonna be a long ass post. Doing it from a fake profile because of obvious reasons as you shall understand whilst going through the post.
First off, my profile : GEM Fresher, 80+ academics throughout. 96.xx in CAT.
IIM Rohtak Admissions 2020
Firstly, they charged Rs. 2000 extra whilst registering. Highly unethical, but it's okay. We let it slide.
Next, they called a lot of candidates into their campus for WAT and PI from far off places causing more discomfort to aspirants. We still let it slide.
Thirdly, they majorly screwed up their admission shortlists, giving crazy emphasis to diversity and rejecting the majority of deserving candidates.
(Most of the people on PG are mad at IIM Rohtak because of this. I got selected, so I, albeit selflishly let this slide too.)
But little did I know that the problems were just starting to creep up. I was only just starting to get to know this money hungry institute's dark practices. READ ON
Their offer letter sent in the month of June'20 (when the COVID-19 crisis was already in full force in India) stated that the session was to start on 28th June. No mention of the mode of study (online/offline).
Then, they sent a mail for Term 1 fee payment, which said the session was to start on 18th June and that we need to pay a non refundable fee of Rs 260,000 (in addition to Rs. 100,000 charged earlier) in a week's time. (Notice the date for commencement of the course already changed).
Next, and this is what prompted me to write this long ass post. They now want us to get a gazetted officer's signature on a bunch of documents and courier it to them by 18th of June.
Not just this, folks at IIM Rohtak want us to get a medical certificate, complete with X Ray reports and vaccination details from a government hospital and courier it by 18th June.
THERE IS A PANDEMIC GOING ON. PEOPLE ARE DYING BECAUSE HOSPITALS DO NOT HAVE SPACE TO ACCOMODATE SERIOUS PATIENTS. BUT IIM ROHTAK WANTS US TO GO TO HOSPITALS AND RISK OUR LIVES FOR VACCINATION REPORTS OF HEPATITIS AND TYPHOID AND AN X RAY OF OUR CHEST.
(I stay in Mumbai and going outside to even get groceries is frought with danger, let alone going to someone's house to get a signature or going to the hospital.)
And all this has to be done, couriered and should reach the esteemed offices of PGP Admissions, IIM Rohtak by the 18th of June.
THERE WAS A WHATSAPP GROUP CREATED BY ADMINS AT PG ON THE DAY THAT I CONVERTED. BUT EVEN THAT HAS NOW BEEN DELETED AND I HAVE NO CONNECT WITH ANY ADMINS OR FELLOW CONVERTS. MAYBE THEY DON'T HAVE A GROUP, OR THEY JUST FORGOT TO ADD ME.
To sum up, IIM Rohtak is the shittiest college, at least in terms of general management and admissions procedures, across India. No awareness of what the situation is around the world and what problems can arise out of sending people outside their homes to get documents. (Not just outside actually, sending them out to hospitals)
TO ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE STILL ANGRY/DISAPPOINTED AT NOT GETTING SELECTED AT IIM ROHTAK BECAUSE OF THEIR OPAQUE AND SKEWED ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE, CONSIDER YOURSELVES LUCKY. YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH WHAT WE HAVE HAD TO ENDURE.
PS : I am hoping to convert IIM Trichy and Ranchi sometime later this month or in July. And hopefully I don't have to deal with this kind of administration at those institutes. Rs. 360,000 that I have already paid at IIM Rohtak will unfortunately never come back to me.
