Is it true that around 50%- (I hv the count which is around 100 students) of the students remained unplaced at SIBM, PUNE...year by year SIBM, Pune is providing fake data about t placements...SIBMians plz put t true data about the placement here so that t career of other students would not be spoiled....plzzzzzzzz..
I hv got the news from very trusted people, but I still hope that this info is wrong, but it can only be cleared bu some SIBM students...

I think you should not be spreading such news without any evidence
plus this is not the right time to debate about placements
our focus should be on
1.getting a call
2.converting the call
which is not a cakewalk and requires effort.

@shashankbapat23 .I know...but this is a correct info, and many people like me are banging on SIBM result... and it caused a lot of embarrassment and tension..

The placement figures published on the website are true. A reputed institute like SIBM wont take the risk of publishing fake data as these are often audited at university level.
Also publishing false data is a very short term strategy which any B-school, specially of the repute of SIBM, does'nt follow. You will learn about all this if and when you make it to SIBM.

The number of students called for GI/PI : the number of seats is roughly 1:8.. However the number of students called is not a fixed number and it changes every year.

See, I would never believe in secondary data when i myself am the source of the primary data. I have seen the way summer placements were carried out this year and I do not have an iota of doubt about the authenticity of the placement data published on the net.

what can be the cut-off for this year in SNAP to get into SIBMP...i knw its a percentile system knw bt any rough idea...

1. I have heard that there are three rounds in 2nd stage- gd, pi and group task(plz correct me if I m wrong). Do we have any essay writing as well?
2. What is the window when the 2nd round will commence? Will it be in the First week of feb?

@dark_knight09 there are only two rounds GD & PI. although both rounds are divided into two
in the gd round there is an audio visual round where u'll be shown a video and a topic will be given to you and u need to have a short gd on the topic...after this the final gd will take place where you'll get your gd topic from the panelists.
then comes the PI...after a brief introduction of yourself u'll be asked to pick a chit and the chit that u pick will contain ur extempore topic after the extempore ur pi will continue.

Is the extempore in front of other candidates as well? Or is it separate?
