hi..i got a call for MCS and Dev Studies, missed HR. I'm on the fence about what to do. I always wanted to go for dev studies, but I'm not sure about how the placement scenario is like. Im currently working in IT and already have an MBA in Marketing from IISWBM Kolkata(09-11). I've always nurtured the idea of working for some multilateral dev organisation like the UN, UNICEF, WHO, World Bank, ADB, IDB etc, but i'm not sure whether these organisations do recruit from TISS...also, i understand the interviews are mostly academic in nature, and MCS attracts students with a strong background in Media (I checked out the current batch, they seem to be very geared towards media from the very beginning of their careers, so Im not sure whether I can carve a niche). For DS, the onus is on economics, and me being from an engg background, am not very conversant in that (though studied a couple of papers on Eco during MBA). Could anyone shed a light on the career prospects of these courses? That would help a lot.

You will get details of DAF form. Generally it would be required to be couriered in advance

It started last year . So not much information with me either. We do not have much interaction between various campuses . Faculty and all should not be a issue as TISS is a deemed university with UGC grants and for the fact most of the courses even in Mumbai started only 5-6 years back
TISS should have retained their old format.. its unfair to have a common evelaution for all courses..there is no evaluation for subject specific knowledge in part 1

It will be communicated to you at an appropriate time.
You will have to fill a DAF and send the photocopies of your documents (at least that was the case with us).
@gdm4u87 Hello sir, could you throw some light on social entrepreneurship ? I got through this program, missed HR by 1 mark.. I know TISS is a very good reputed institute but I need more info abt the program than available on the site.. So, if you could get someone from the current batch of this program on pagalguy or any other common platform, it would be great for us..
