Why does this SIIB thread look like a graveyard. The SIBm-B thread are abuzz with posts. Seniors, plz clarify. Is SIIB losing its appeal to SIBMB. The cut offs too have dropped nastily.

SIIB offers international business course and sibm bangalore general so can't compare..
also siib ,as it is old has good alumni base.

That's a good record. But the situation is changing dramatically.Till 2011, it seemed like a risk to go for a new SIBM-B college when SIIB was around. But the 2010,2011,2012 reports seem to prove they are highly competent. As student perception changes, so will companies preference in my view. I'm raising an eyebrow.
Again simply since until this year, SIIB and SIBM would have cut offs in the same region. This year IB dropped 7 percent.

Cut off for SIBM B was more just for one simple reason....SIBM B opened its form filling application as late as mid of january , while SIIB did not .

I agree, in fact i think in just 2-3 batches it has reached to a level of SIIB and also because of its transparent admission process it has an edge over SIIB.

Well SIBM-B cut off is higher than the SIIB cut off, so its not difficult to make out which one has an upper edge.

Thats a very bad judgement. For SIIB , the last date to fill in the application form was before the SNAP exam whereas for SIBM-B it was in early Jan. So that explains why the low cutoff for SIIB. But I don't see why the seniors suddenly vanished into thin air.

 I think seniors are busy with their exams as most of the smybi colleges exams are going on.........Once exams are over they will definitely reply all our queries........:) and I think it is very unfair to compare SIIB with SIBM-B as SIIB is in business for so long and have a very distinghed alumni base........:)

I certainly hope so!!..This waiting period for us waitlisters tends to get very frustrating.
U can see that from the last few posts. People becoming all judgmental and all!!
