koyal1990 Sayshello sir, just to keep it equally simple, the thing that you said about NM bangalore and the 100% surety regd whtr we want or not want to do it this year, well that'll also depend on the institute ryt?? Like I am not 100% sure whtr I want to do it this year or not, if I do convert NM B, I would love to join given clarity on a few stuffs.... see, for me placement is obviously not the only parameter based on which I choose my college, but given the fee it's an important thing.... and I dnt think anyone is cribbing about the fees, the only headache is will we be able to repay the loan? and the NM brand is huge, we all know that I am sure that is why we all are looking forward to this, but if we have seniors and ex students of ur college claiming that placements are horrible, it does get a little troublesome for us. If u understand, generally no alumnus will talk ill about their institute unnecessarily. Just that.. :)

I see your point. Some seniors/alumnus say placement is horrible. I say placement process is not yet complete (summers as well as finals), its in process. Let the formal details come on NM website (in time), that MIGHT help in your decision making process. I personally see 2-3 years more for NM-B to get firmly industry established. Before that, expecting unrealistic packages is futile. You will be 100% able to pay your loan, but possibly number of years can be more.

Irrespective of the course, the machinery for placements and the management team behind both the programs is the same. The only difference will be the student teams. And yeah - do not forget that NM Mumbai is not involved with the placements at Bangalore. No support, no common placement channels etc.
The only thing common is the NM logo.
Besides 1st PGDM batch should graduate this March. And as far as I know and understand the dynamics at work here - no more than 50% will get good profiles and packages. Rest all (if at all 100% are placed) will have to compromise.
Btw - do look at other aspects as well. Compare number of permanent faculty members, Industry supported events per year, multiple business mag ratings for the individual campus and "active" student exchange programs.
Don't fool yourself or anyone by thinking this campus is comparable to Mumbai. Mumbai campus is about 30 years old and this one is just 3 years or so old (in terms of regular programs).
Hence even if u get 30-50% return as compared with NM mumbai average it will be a decent deal. So keep your expectations under check.

Buddy... NM brand is huge... no doubt about that. But that brand is NMIMS Mumbai - and get this right.
Parent body is nowhere involved in placements of Bangalore campus. So the campus has to develop its market and "Brand" value.
The faculty (most top guys are visiting), industry linkages, exchange programs and just about everything else is managed by local management... which is nowhere comparable to let alone NM Mumbai... but not even comparable to any A grade college.

The day the college publishes a mandatory disclosure - you will get all the evidences you want... and more.
Tell you what - try asking this from the management.

Seniors are saying tht placement report wud b out later and v cant reveal anything right now.But there must b some seniors who are already placed,at least they can share their packages.It wud b of great help.There are some candidates whose dates of gdpi are clashing with that of nmims bangalore.If the placement is poor at nmims b,as its a new college,some mite give it a miss and go for d othr option.So please seniors,at least share the placements of the students who are placed till now.Thanks.And when can v expect the final report..estimated date?
