Plzzz help me guys!!
No one can comment on your chances of conversions as of yet, but in an nutshell the result is going to be a weighted concoction of your profile,GD and PI. Cheers
The campus is yet to attain 100% placements dude... and you are asking the average package????!!!!
2 batched of EPGDBM program are out and 3rd will be out soon and so will be the 1st batch of PGDM program.
Still not a single batch with 100% placement... forget the average package. I am still hopeful for the current and future batches, but till now NM Bangalore has been a disappointment and loss for many ex students.
is it???? NM bangalore doesn't have 100% placement? and sir you are an ex student? you must be knowing the inside story.... could you just validate your claims? As far as I know, NM BANGALORE is doing really well with it's epgdm course.. most of the students get a package of 7digit figure... highest being 15LPA? all this is rubbish you mean?? Sir If you could just help us take a wise decision. THANK YOU.... REGARDS.. 😃
Had you asked me that... I had replied YES... that is the case most of the times - barring a few who got too nervous or scared when it mattered the most.
btw - seats on offer were 120 and only 72 got filled... that has nothing to do with quality of intake. The ratio of applicants to number of seats was close to 1 and then there were many who decided not to join.
There is a mark below which a candidate is not considered but that is quite low... and that is true for most 2nd rung b-schools (example: 50+ percentile in one section and 80+ in others).
Ask your self - why are the NMAT toppers going to Mumbai... so much so that there is a huge gap between the cut-offs in different campuses!!
@ Old wise guy :
Thank for alertin prospective students.
But Why do u have to tell about EPGDM in NMIMS Blore here ?? This thread is about PGDM in NMIMS Blore.. Tell us if you have any info on that...
Seniors please clarify.. Recent posts have raised serious questions about NMIMS BLore... .
Hi, My Score in NMAT is 189. I am hoping for a call from the Bangalore campus. In my form i have given preferences as 1. MBA Core 2. MBA Capital Markets 3. MBA Banking Management However, I want to know if there is any chance of me for Pharma Management in NM. I am interested in this course. I have done my B.Tech in Computer Science. Am i eligible? If yes, then is there any way i can change my preferences and opt for pharma management?

I have paid the application fee for Bangalore campus. The preference are for the MBA in NM Mumbai. For Bangalore i have selected PGDM Bangalore in PGDM Preference. The pharma course is offered in Bombay i suppose.
I have a simple piece of suggestion, nothing complicated or promotional. I have given the same advise to many aspirants whom I met in NM-B when they came for NMAT. Here it goes:
If you are 100% sure you want to do MBA this year: - Try your best to get in colleges of your preference. - If you don't get those colleges and you have converted NM-B, join NM-B.
If you are NOT 100% sure you want to do MBA this year: - Continue with your job and prepare for next CAT. - Don't waste time on any threads.
NM-B is a good place to be in. I will not say its the best, but considering its young age, I have no regrets. NM brand has its value. Two more things:
Concern about Fee: Most colleges have similar fee structure. If you are able to get into a good college with lesser fee, nothing better than that. But if you are not getting into those few colleges, then fee shall not raise any concern.
Concern about Placements: Its a fact that NM-B will take some time to get industry established. One more fact is that NM-B is turning every stone to reduce this time-period. One very respectable person in senior batch had stated "After 5 years from now, people will only hear the institute from with you did MBA, they will never ask what was your first ctc". And I hope we all are aware what NM brand is. It originates from a parental body which is more that 70 years old!
Things will be always unclear. But that never stops us making decisions. Godspeed!

hello sir, just to keep it equally simple, the thing that you said about NM bangalore and the 100% surety regd whtr we want or not want to do it this year, well that'll also depend on the institute ryt?? Like I am not 100% sure whtr I want to do it this year or not, if I do convert NM B, I would love to join given clarity on a few stuffs.... see, for me placement is obviously not the only parameter based on which I choose my college, but given the fee it's an important thing.... and I dnt think anyone is cribbing about the fees, the only headache is will we be able to repay the loan? and the NM brand is huge, we all know that I am sure that is why we all are looking forward to this, but if we have seniors and ex students of ur college claiming that placements are horrible, it does get a little troublesome for us. If u understand, generally no alumnus will talk ill about their institute unnecessarily. Just that.. 😃

You can not possibly apply now to bangalore and hyderabad,in case u already did not apply initially!!!All the best for other colleges. PS:I really wish i could transfer my application of bangalore and hyderabad to some1 else in need now.I just applied initially for the sake of it and realy don't even intend to attend the gd/pi.
