I don't understand the reason behind the secrecy! It is almost admission time and NMIMS Bangalore may lose potential quality candidates because of lack of info regarding placements! Those who have multiple calls might prefer colleges they know something about! All we know about NMIMS Bangalore is it is a branch of NMIMS Mumbai! I am sorry if I am being skeptical but 10+ lakh is a huge investment for me!
Hi Guys Based on Few Frequent Queries kindly go through the following details to get familiar with the NM-Bangalore Environment.
DRESS CODE : No strict dress code and students are allowed to wear casuals but during guest lectures and Company visits formals along with college blazer and tie is mandatory(almost twice in week) COLLEGE TIMING : Starts from morning 8:30 till 5:10 in evening (Each session will be of 90minutes). No fixed regime or schedule as lectures will be conducted as per Professors Suggestion so some day it may be from 8:30 till 7:00p.m or Sometimes NO class on given weekday.:) Saturdays and Sundays are usually off but again subject to Professors Instruction. HOSTEL & ACCOMMODATION : Its not compulsory to opt Hostel, currently in the second batch of PGDM around 5 of them are Day-Scholars.so if you dont want to opt hostel, the Seniors will help you to Get accommodation outside..:) ACADEMIC MATERIALS & RESOURCES :- Only thing you need to carry always is " Interest to Learn" Apart from that books,magazines, and all other facilities will be provided by college.Pr-session reading is very compulsory so you indeed have to use the resources also...:p GD PREPARATION :- As soon as your NMAT cut offs & Eligible students merit list will be out, we will post a link in NM-Bangalore Facebook page, where Seniors will help you in GD and interview preparation. Apart from this FACULTIES,PLACEMENTS,STUDENTS,INFRASTRUCTURE been the frequent topic for discussion in this thread and i dont think i should again put that slogan back into action. Greetings sir. The undersigned is an aspirant to NMIMS Schools of business courses.I very kindly request you to spend some minutes of your valuable time in reading through this requisition letter subjecting to NMIMS admissions 2012.
I kindly recall the reference to the advertisement notice for the admissions to NMIMS business schools- 2012. It may be recalled, that the actual process of applying to NMIMS Bangalore and Hyderabad campuses, calls for individual application cost, and candidates who fail to apply separately to each of these campuses, at the time of the cut off date, will not be eligible for consideration of GD/PI calls for NMIMS Bangalore and Hyderabad.
I feel sorry for the fact that I had applied only to NMIMS-MUMBAI sparing Bangalore and Hyderabad campuses. I am verymuch interested in taking up the course with any of the NMIMS campuses. As said earlier,I was not able to apply for all campuses due to some personal /economical reasons. I extend my sincere apologies over this and I very kindly request you to consider my candidature for NMIMS Bangalore and Hyderabad Campuses as well. I assure you, that I will forfeit the amount subjecting to the same. Also I would like to add that i have got a decent score in NMAT 2012.

Hello Seniors, When is the tentative date of GD/PI results? I am really anxious to get into NMIMS Bangalore as i know , i do not stand chance in Mumbai. My nmat score in first attempt was 161 with sectional scores in QS,LS and LR was 58 47 and 56. At that moment i did not expect my result to be so low as i have attempted good no questions. Anyway i booked the second slot and i gave my second attempt after 24 days again. My nmat score in the second attempt was 192 with sectional scores in QS,LS and LR 73,55 and 64. It is not great score but it is good relative to my previous attempt. Now i am hoping to get a call from NMIMS Bangalore I have B.Tech in EEE from VIT University with aggregate of 79.2% X&XII; (CBSE) with 79.4% and 81.8%. Also i have 18 months work experience with HCL Technologies. Please don't mind but with your perception, what do you think? Will i get a call or not? I am sure you will understand my anticipation as you were also in the same stage 1-2 years ago. I am counting my last bet on NMIMS.

Hi Seniors. I have some confusion regarding preference. When i filled the form There was option to fill first preference. I filled MBA FT core as my preference 1 and in PGDM Preference i filled NMIMS Bangalore. How are they going to shortlist people?

The sole reason is that NM Bangalore performance at placements is far from being at par with NM Mumbai.
I am an ex student and be aware that there have been many regular students in past EPGDBM batches who completed program and left without any job in hand.
Now to explain the dilly-dally attitude of current student reps... just understand this example:
I bought something @ 100 rupees and thought it was worth 100. Then i came to know it was available in most other shops for 50. Will i tell anyone the price i paid and be branded a fool? I will not!!!
That is the reason some of my seniors lied to me... some of my peers lied to some of the current students and now... current reps "Can't share" without permission.
Truth is - all prospective students have very high expectations from NMIMS Bangalore because of NMIMS brand and that is not mis-placed as the fee is also in the same band. But then - NMIMS Bangalore - without any help from its mother-ship... will still take some more years.
So if you think you are good enough to take a risk... or too desperate for a PG in management... go ahead and take the leap.
btw - lower cutoff do not essentially imply lower quality... but it is by far the case in general.
Expect a miracle and expect a reply... 99/100 the miracle will occur!!!
They may still respond to you... 'cause you are a prospect... but looking at the past... do not expect much from the authorities.

Had you asked me that... I had replied YES... that is the case most of the times - barring a few who got too nervous or scared when it mattered the most.
btw - seats on offer were 120 and only 72 got filled... that has nothing to do with quality of intake. The ratio of applicants to number of seats was close to 1 and then there were many who decided not to join.
There is a mark below which a candidate is not considered but that is quite low... and that is true for most 2nd rung b-schools (example: 50+ percentile in one section and 80+ in others).
Ask your self - why are the NMAT toppers going to Mumbai... so much so that there is a huge gap between the cut-offs in different campuses!!

Any sane person with a score higher than Mumbai cutoff... and who has/d applied for the Mumbai campus... will never ever give up the shot. Period.
Those in your batch with higher than Mumbai cutoff scores are either those who got rejected there or those who unfortunately (were insane enough and) opted for Bangalore only.
I think you are not getting my view. I mean that last year students applied for Bangalore were less, so cutoff was also less. So instead of giving admission to the students scored less NM preferred to give chance to students who scored well but did not get through NM Mumbai cutoff. In our batch also we have lesser number of students who scored near to 145, most of us had very good score. Many of us scored above 210 also i.e. NM Mumbai cutoff for last year.
The campus is yet to attain 100% placements dude... and you are asking the average package????!!!!
2 batched of EPGDBM program are out and 3rd will be out soon and so will be the 1st batch of PGDM program.
Still not a single batch with 100% placement... forget the average package. I am still hopeful for the current and future batches, but till now NM Bangalore has been a disappointment and loss for many ex students.
