XLRI clearly says that 650 candidates will be called for PMIR and 550 for BM. Now, if they stipulate a cut off percentile and call EVERYONE over that percentile, then to give out just 650 calls for PMIR, such a cut off should be well over 95.
Similarly, to call just 550 candidates out of around one lakh applicants, the cut off has to be well over 99 percentile, because 99 percentile would mean a rank of around 1000! Which means, if they say the cut off is 98 percentile, they will have to call close to 2000 candidates JUST for BM.
well your logic would have fitted perfectly had everyone getting over 95%ile in XAT applied to BOTH the courses in XLRI.. but no, that is not the case.. not everyone applies to XLRI and not evryone applies for BOTH the courses.. moreova, it is not child's play to get 98+ with all sectionals over 90.. and hence not every candidate getting over 98 is eligible for the call.. well to add up all this, only 550 applicants satisfied the criteria for the BM cutoffs and all of them got the calls..!!

.. we just need to keep waiting... given the nature of the paper even the xlri junta must be having a tough time deciding the cutoffs 
would liba have sectional cut offs this time?
i am scoring 25 according to time key which comes to abt 75%ile...but one section is in negatives...m a roman catholic...pls advise...

FPM is usually a doctorate course and might take 4-5 years. The opportunities are endless if you complete a phd from a top institute like XLRI. If someone don't have any issues with the time involved in the course , it is good for him/her.

i dont know if XISS is possible or not with this score..actually i dont think u should be sure about score given by various institutes...but if one wants to go for XISS do it soon...as late date to apply is 31st jan...!!!

I heard the cut off %iles for BM was around 98.03 and for HR it was 95 %ile odd. Is it true?
Does that mean that any one above a %ile of 95 odd was called for the HR course GDPI provided the sectionals were cleared and had applied?
Also what is the last %ile convert for both the courses?
