[2011] XAT and XLRI official thread for queries

wait for the result....IFMR has time till 31st...

my expected scores are :TIME-31 , CL-39 and Test funda - 45
should i fill IFMR????
i'm applying to wellingkar, XIME ,XISS ,Kirloskar, and ITM navi mumbai..can i expect calls atleast from those institutes???
also can you please suggest me some more good colleges with that score??

p.s-i'm getting minus.75 in quant...will it hamper my chances:banghead::banghead::banghead??

wellingkar -good
xime-good
xiss-ok
kirloskar-ok
itm-ok

you will get calls from all these institutes with your score....they will take only your total score for shortlisting.
in xat their are not many good colleges (my personal opinion) but you can also go for GITAM.

for xat results...past trend suggest that they may be declared any time from now...

Choose the odd one:

water :: dirty :: clean
battery ::dead :: music
wood :: burn :: food
juice :: ferment :: wine
rain :: thunder :: hail

hmmmm...the reasonin behind is tht all options are inter-related

as in

water makes something dirty clean

wood when burnt is used to make food

juice when fermented turns to wine

rain is followed by thunder which is followed by hail

but battery when dean plays NO music

does anyone else have a different answer or explanation ?????

Even I marked the same but i was a bit confused because in the answer keys of various sites rain :: thunder :: hail was marked as right answer....

10.25 in va,
8.75 in lr, &
-.75 in quant :oops:
18.25 overall

what could be the percentile i may get & which college should i apply???

u should apply to XIME with score of odd 18....cutoff will be on lower side..so cross your fingers..u can wait for result too..last date is in feb..ill then results will b out.

qa/di : 10-12
lr : 12-14
verbal 20-22

can i expect any call?
what are my chances? i m a fresher
i screwed my CAT ...missed IIFT(30.xx)

with the score range from 22-35 according to keys of different coaching institute
which colleges shud i apply......

pl also give the probability in terms of High medium low

can u please share how PMIR is diff from BM in XLRI in terms of importance , placement & package . Why does PMIR seeks a lower OA cutoff ?
and do we have GD/PI for PMIR/BM ?
