Xat results will be out in late jan, the colleges u can still apply to are liba, welingkar, imt ghaziabad, other xat colleges have closed their application

I have not received any confirmation from XLRI if they have received my application or not.. Can you please tell me 4m where to confirm..
You will have to call the admissions office n give ur xat id, they will verify it for you
for liba ,wat percentile n score is expected in XAT 2011??..do they give profile based calls only?wat r d chances for freshers??
How do i know wht all institutes i had selected for submission of my XAT sxore card ??
i disticly remember i had ticked 5-6 insititues...want too verify whether i had ticked GIM...
i visited XAT hompage...logged on....but in the form it does not mention even a single indtitue...whereas i had ticked some 5-6 institute during application..
also is it possible for me apply to those institutes which i had NOT ticked while filing XAT form ??

i guess ur not understanding the idiom to Throw down the gauntlet - it simply means to initiate a fight / quarrel / dispute / war and UN peace keeping force are present to maintain peace and not to start a war.
and btw i just googled 'in the altogether' it means to be naked or to be in the nude...and ur naked when ur in the bath tub unless u have a habit of showering with ur clothes on :)

my take is in bold because in the altogether need not be necessarily bath tub it can be a place or a room or dormitory or jail rest others have some or other way unique relation where as option B first part shows one of the multiple relations it can have
as far as E is concerned iwill tell you one classic example when UN peace keeping forces goes to afghanistan obviously they wont be holding white flags on their heads in front of terrorists having missile launchers in hands.hope its now clear to you mate

ok so lets do this...
according to ur logic option B is the odd one out because it has multiple relations whereas others have a unque relation. if we go by this logic none of the options match
as the real mccoy (which means something original / unique ) can be anything it can be darjeeling tea , tirupathi ladoos, kaanchipuram silk sarees, scotch whiskey.
the balloon goes up (which means to imply impending trouble ) can be anything as well i can be spot fixing scandal, or slapping the police officer or bribing a diplomat or the wikileaks scandal.
the halcyon days (which means prosperous or golden days or the good ol' days ) can be childhood or calm weather....
so the idea of picking the odd man out is not based on multiple relations but it is based on wheter they fit in to the same category or whether they are inter-related.
in the altogether means to be naked and the approriate answer is bathtub as ur naked in a bathtub.
but to throw a gauntlet means to initiate or provoke a war/ dispute / skirmish which is THE OPPOSITE of what the UN peace keeping force they only maintain peace and not provoke/ initiate war.
i hope finally got the 'wisdom' to understand this 😃 pretty sorry u'll be losing 3.75 marks but i guess going by the difficulty of XAT 2011 the cutoffs will be low.

Previously it's sections very extremely high .
Seniors ,do you forsee any change in the trend?
the answer according to me should be the gauntlet and UN one
coz throwing down a gauntlet means to throw a challenge at someone and the UN peace forces never initiate a fight/ challenge an entity under any circumstance.
thats the odd one out.
