I haven't got any confirmation about my application for XLRI. No mails, no brochure nothing.
The toll free no. is also not reachable. Tried calling it since last 3 days.

Anyone having the same situation? I asked the same question few days back but it got lost in between the long posts 😞

Any senior from XL who can help?

Is there any way to check the status of our XLRI application. the site xlri.net only shows the XAT application. Any pointers on how to check if the XLRI applications have been accepted.

Tried calling the helpline number but they didn't give any clear orders since they themselves knew little about it. Any senior on the thread who can help?

M from the same lot with much hue n cry for not receiving my Admit card yet...!!

Neways last night while surfing i found XL with username XLRIOnline on twitter.... I was struck with this idea of tweeting our grievance to them....!!
But m not sure as the tweets contained all official tweets with no mention of XAT 2011.. I think there would be a seperate username for the XAT 2011 related queries......!!??

I 've been trying to reach the student helpline since morning to no avail.....dats y m thinkin of doing this....?

1. Do you think its a good idea? Or wud it aggravate the situation..

2. Could someone try n search if there is any such user on twitter.....for XAT 2011 admissions relatd discussion. ( m in off now, m jailed with no access to twitter....)

This could be the most anxiuos one could get I guess...!!

GIM has a Goan Domicile Quota, but then there is a catch. This Quota is only for the First Call, where the cut off is lowered for the Goan Students by 10 Marks.. However, on Final Calls there is no bearing of this Quota as Composite Score is calculated as

XAT Score: 0.5
GD & PI: 0.3
Prev Education Performance: 0.1
Wrk ex, if any: 0.1

So, Quota exists only for gainin a First Call. Final Calls are being given based on Merit only.

LIBA has some relaxation for catholics, but the amount of relaxation is not made public.

My photo n signature is uploaded....i took the printout but the signature in the printout is very faint...i can read it being myself...but dunno if the invigilator can read it....
I tried with 2 -3 printers at various locations...but in vain...
also my photo print is too bright ( having fair complexion)...
so sould i go the exam straightaway or visit the center a day before n get a provisional admit card?

hey there puys,
having some confusion's regarding XAT exam... Can nebdy jst help me out regarding the number of safe attempts with a good %age of accuracy,, Gettn confused seeing the level o difficulty of the exam , can't just make out wat to shape the strategy into ;
1. attempt as many as questions.
or,
2. weightage towards different sections.
or,
3. to focus on accuracy.

would be really thankful, seniors , if nebdy cud help me out with issues regarding tentative cutoff's , proceeding the exam etc..

No one knws...coz XAT people have a very peculiar method of calculating percentiles after everyone has taken the test...and after that only GIM people would get 2 knw abt it...and do you knw the most astonishing thing...in every entrance exm...%iles are calculated after every1 has takn d exm...and cutoffs are disclosed thereafter...
Dude...dnt you knw dt cutoffs are disclosed after the result is out...
It has been repeatedly told dt d cutoffs are a function of the difficulty level of the papr...still a large no. of people keep on asking qs like what will be the cutoffs...hw many qs 1 shud attmpt etc.
I request every1 not 2 fill this thread with such qs...it becomes difficult 4 odrs 2 search 4 valuable info...go through the previous discussions on this thread n previous yr's cutoff's n u'l gt a ruf idea of ans 2 ol such queries.

hi puys,
does anyone have any info on the no. of questions in xat 2011. last year's paper with 104 questions was a BIT doable but papers of yesteryears(07, 06 and earlier) were virtually undoable what with an excess of 130 questions.
If there ARE so many questions, then does the cut off shoot up proportionally( i mean is it still 1/3 of 140)??

Insti specific queries should be asked on that specific thread.. Anyways, GIM has changed its criteria last year. last year they gave profile based calls na d most probably sectional cut waas not there. But they actually give no clarification on how they proceed, so dont worry abt anything and just give ur best shot with a view to atleast get 60 %tile in each section (If you are specifically trying for GIM) else if your are trying for XIMB or so you need to have atleast 90 tile in each section.

I had applied for XAT and XLRI long back and have downloaded the admit card and all.
But I never got any confirmation whether the XLRI application (the pay-in slip) was received at their end. Logging in to the site just shows the final submission page with the message - "Your application has been successfully submitted." as it did before.

Due to a mishap with a friend (his xlri doc reached , xat doc didnt ! etc) I am suddenly a little worried, am I supposed to get any confirmation on receipt of the payin slip?
