as expected gk took no time... i mean not the whole 40 mins... so many ppl jumped back to maths...?????????is it allowed?? i dont think it is... i cant jump back to the previous section i can... i jus wanna confirm.. i think it is not allowed!!

😁 Its officially not allowed, but sometimes these people carry it to the final xam too.

during the GD/PI rounds,is there any preference given to someone whoz relative is frm XL??? one of mah freinds mentioned this to me dat they give marginal preference..is that true????

i know of a girl whose father is a prof in xl n she didn't make it...
so it all boils down to how well u do at the interview...
personally i feel it's tougher if ur father/mother is a prof there
...coz u've gottta over-prove urself...
they (the ad-com) would wanna be fair...
n they may go overborad to show that there r no nepotism rules as such :)

Instructions for the Exam
You should be in your assigned Test Center at least 15 minutes prior to the reporting time printed in this Admit Card.
You should bring the following to the Test Center:
Your Test Admit Card (printout of this).
Any photo identity card such as passport, driving license, an identity letter with photo and signature attested by your college Principal / Vice Principal.
Two Sharpened HB Pencil.
Please Note :
Calculators, electronic diaries, cell phones, beepers or any similar electronic equipment, cameras and any pieces of paper are not allowed in the Test Center.
All rough work should be done only on the margins of the test booklet. No other piece of paper is allowed.
Once the test starts, you will not be allowed to leave the Test Center / Hall for any reason till the test is over and all other formalities are completed. Please be prepared to remain in your seat till the exam is over. If you leave the Test Center / Hall, you will not be allowed to re-enter and it will be assumed that you have completed writing the test.
Candidates found violating the instructions of the test invigilator will be disqualified.
The official language of the test is English.

i really dunno if this is the right thread to post in but I am desperate..
I tried logging in to printout my XAT admit card.I could initially login but when I had to login for a second time to access my admit card...it kept saying "password incorrect" blah blah...then I tried changing my password in the first login and tried it again. This time it said, "Your admit card has not been generated" 
It now keeps saying that! 
Is there anybody else with the same problem? Does it simply mean they havent uploaded my admit card yet or is there a problem?? 😞

Last year XAT had same questions across different sets but in different order. The way we have in board exams :P.
Also, the sections are in different order in different sets. i.e., when you r attempting GK section, you neighbour would be attempting quant or english.
However, this is what has been hapening since past few years and the paper setter(s) can change the pattern if they wish to. Even in that case i am sure fairness would be ensured.

hey tinkerbell...even i had the same problem of password incorrect. If u did not see there is a button called "forgot password". Why dint you use that instead of changing passwords??? Click that button & you will get your correct password in your mail box.

you are not expected to know labor laws at this stage. You might be asked labor laws in interview ONLY IF you are a law graduate. So relax and just prepare the regular stuff.

does a gr8 %tile guarantee (clearing cutoffs 2) a call frm xlri or do they give weightage to "other factors" like the iims?
if yes then godforsaken people like me (xtra curric:bad....acads worse!!) shud not only clear cutoffs bt also top XAT....wich is IMPOSSIBLE!

i hav this doubt regarding the XAT essay, just wanted to know whether the essay should be written in any particular style or tone, i know giving facts and figures would be great, but should the tone be a neutral one or should we take a stand on the topic, if at there is some debateable topic that is!!!
