Xpressions, the annual fest of XIMB, is scheduled to take place from 8th to 10th November 2019. The three-day extravaganza is one of the biggest Management-Cultural fests of eastern India and the students are all geared up to make this a utopian event. Xpressions is preceded by social events X-Athon and X-Enable that are conducted every year.
This year the X-Athon and the X-Enable, a fundraising event for the better cause were successfully conducted on 20 October 2018. With the theme of “Run a mile, Spread a smile”, it aimed at inspiring people to lead healthier and more active. X-Enable is the Annual Sports event that is organized for the differently-abled children.
The participants were from various schools such as Chetana School and Swabhimaan School to name a few. Presenting to you the scheduled events that make Xpressions memorable. The business events and Xpressions 2019 brings an assortment of competitions to test the business acumen of the participants.
It includes the flagship event- Jack of All Trades which is a National-Level Case Study and Simulation Game competition, Maven is a National-Level Case Study Competition, organized by Constrat: the strategy association), Inquizzitive (a Flagship Quizzing Competition), MPower (A Marketing based Business event by Maxim), Case Connect is another National-Level Case Study Competition, Nirnay is an Online Simulation Game, Trade Wars is a Trading Simulation Game, Vakritva is a SRC and SpeakUp featured event, Vriddhi -A CSR Action Plan Competition, XIMBMUN – is a UN Simulation Competition by SpeakUp, the Oratory Club, Resonance is an interactive resource simulation game, Ad Valorem -an entrepreneurial game by X-Seed, the entrepreneurship club, Aarohan-an Operations themed case study by X-Ops, Finasco -a finance case study challenge by X-Fin.
Xpressions is not only about business. The students also engage in an array of cultural competitions organized on all three days that showcases their creative talents. Decibelz, the War of Bands, Goonj is a solo singing competition, and Thirkan-a dance competition that brings out the best in participants. Aaghaz is a Nukkad Natak event which happens on the streets of the city, portrays the social prejudices in a heart-touching way.
The Carnival De Vogue, is a Fashion Show competition. The fest also includes other events like Paint@XIMB -The Painting Competition, Pratibimb- The Face Painting Competition, Viraasat- Classical Competition, Flights of Fancy is a literary event, MAXIM Mela-Marketing Research Event, Final Cut -a short film making competition and Lensation -the photography event, and Vakritva-extempore oratory competition.

Last year Xpressions witnessed the extraordinary performance by Sunidhi Chauhan, which the whole of Bhubaneswar waiting for it. To excite everyone again, this year XIMB promises a two-fold entertainment package.
XIMB awaits to host Kumar Varun, in the stand-up comedy act in Comedy Adda, and Mika Singh will be gracing with a live performance on Celeblitz, the Celebrity Night. A few more days left between the start of something new, exciting and once in a lifetime opportunity.
