RRB ALP and Technician Recruitment 2018

RRB (Railway Recruitment Board) is responsible for conducting exams for the process of recruitment for the candidates involving various posts in the Railway department of India. It conducts exams for Group B, Group C and Group D posts in the Railway department. There are more than 60000 vacancies for the ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot) and Technician Posts for the 2018-19 recruitment.

Important dates for RRB ALP Recruitment 2018- 19:

CBT Stage I exam From August 09, 2018

The recruitment process for the 2018-19 exams will be done in 4 stages. Each one is explained below:

CBT Stage I of RRB ALP exam:

The Stage I of RRB ALP is a Computer-based exam with total time duration of 1 hour. This exam will have four sections with one mark for each question. The candidates should qualify in the Stage I exam in order to get selected for the Stage II examination.

CBT Stage II of RRB ALP exam:

The Stage II exam will be conducted in 2 parts. They are Part A and Part B and it will be conducted on the same day and Part B will be of qualifying nature.

The total time duration for this exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes where 90 minutes for Part A and 60 minutes for the Part B paper. The candidates must score 35% of marks in Part B of the Stage II exam in order to get qualified for the next round of the RRB ALP selection process.

Computer-Based Aptitude Test:

The CBAT will have questions both English and Hindi Languages. No negative marking scheme is applicable in this exam. Here, the candidates must score a minimum of 42 marks in order to get qualified for the final round of the selection process.

The final selection in the RRB ALP examination will be done based on the scores obtained by the candidates in CBT Stage II Part A and CBAT rounds. 30% weight-age will be given to the CBAT and 70% weight-age will be given to the CBT Stage II Part A examination.

When the candidates qualify in the selection process mentioned above, then they will be called for the Document Verification process which will be the final round in the RRB ALP recruitment process.

After all the above-mentioned process are done, the eligible candidates will be qualified for the RRB ALP posts.
