Result Analysis of NMAT 2018

The NMAT by GMAC examination is the first examination of management that takes place. All the other reputed examinations take place after the NMAT by GMAC. The candidates are supposed to choose from a wide range of colleges to give the exam for. The candidates need to choose any five colleges from the 26 Indian colleges and the other 15 international colleges. This selection takes place at the time of filling the application form. The candidate can pay a fee amount and added tax if he or she wishes to choose more than five colleges to try for. All the colleges participating in the NMAT are well reputed and renowned.

The candidates get a wide window to write the test. The candidate can choose their favorable date and center. The aspirants are given three chances to prove their worthiness to the authorities. The examination starting date was 14th October 2018 and the last exam date was 17th of December, 2018. The results of every window will be released as the month of December ends. The last window NMAT results will be declared in the third week of January 2019. After the final results are out the candidates can move forward to the selection process of the individual colleges where they will be asked to give a written ability test, a group discussion and a personal interview accompanied by the case study.

The final list of the selected candidates after the personal interviews and group discussion are over will be declared in the month of March.  The candidates are advised to be patient with the results as many aspirants will be checking the results at once. Many times the site of the results crashes or is too occupied with so many requests that it does not respond. Having such problems on the result day is not something to worry about. The candidates are thus advised to either check the result at the end of the day or the next day to be able to login if they were unable to do so in the start.

The candidates can carry out the following steps if they wish to check their results.

  1. The candidates need to visit the official link to get the results. Using any other link is inadvisable.
  2. The candidates will need to login with the registration number and the password that had been given to them when they were filling out the application form.
  3. Use the date picker to enter the date of birth of the candidate. Using the keyboard will be of no use and the candidate is required to use only the virtual date picker that will be provided.
  4. The candidates will then need to enter the security code and will then receive their NMAT scorecard.

The candidates are advised to download the scorecard and take a print out for future references. Having a number of printouts is always advisable. The candidates should at least have the scorecard saved as a soft copy somewhere.

The NMAT by GMAC scorecard will contain the following few headings that will be important for the candidates’ information.

 

 

Since NMAT is a competitive examination the candidates’ scores will be compared to one another.

 

 

The percentile scores are the scores that the candidate earned for their hard work in the examination. These scores are the most important and hey determine the fate of the candidate that is if the candidate will be able to clear the cut off of the required colleges or not.

  1. Score range

The candidates’ scorecard will have a table as the one given below that will tell them about the score range for every section and the total score range.

 

Quantitative Skills: 0-144

 

Language Skills: 0-96

 

Logical Reasoning skills: 0-120

 

Total: 0-360

 

 

 

The final and the most informative heading is the scorecard. The scorecard of the candidate is very important and this heading is as well. The cut off of all the colleges chosen by the candidate will be mentioned under this heading.
