Laptop Buying Guide - Plz read the first post! - 19-04-2007, 09:58 PM

Hi Guys

I see a lot of threads these days on bulk deals for laptops/notebooks.

1. DELL : http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/chit-c...ls-pgites.html

2. HP : http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/chit-c...al-pgites.html

3. APPLE : http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/chit-c...bulk-deal.html

And then, there's a thread where all the everyday notebook-realted questions, issues and recommendations go: http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/your-i...-a-laptop.html

So, how about, a basic Laptop/Notebook Buying Guide for all those of you planning on a purchase but feeling lost. Well, here it is..
I've carefully made this guide, keeping in mind a complete novice at the computer-related technical stuff and also mentioned a few recommended systems. So go on, Read & be an informed buyer!

Buddy, I've made this is PowerPoint and hence, do not have the 'Ms-Word' format for it.
If you have PowerPoint installed on your computer, you should be able to see it. If not, you can download the free PowerPoint Viewer, here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

I'm sure you are using this laptop as a travel companion (13.3' screen and all that). Most people willing to buy a laptop here do so for gaming or a desktop replacement or for B-Skool purposes. Looks don't really matter for them.
And believe me, the VAIO which starts at around 55K are worth only for the killer looks & size...nothing more value from it...We can expect a real cracker of a performance from a VAIO if you buy one of the higher-end laptops in that series...Which will again cost a fortune (starts 1.2L)

You can't wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club

Great effort Ubermensch!
I'll make the thread sticky !!

What about closing this thread so that users can go through the guide and decide? Do we need discussions here also? There are now so many threads to discuss laptops, users can discuss those there! What do u say?
