hello people i am starting this thread for all those enthusiasts who are ready to hp 5118 through pg.NOthing is finalised -deal is still under process.This is just to check the strength of people who are in for HP 5118.Theres a poll regarding the price -so do vote in.

I'm in for anywhere <=55K. Hope we'll be able to get the 9 cell battery for this price, anyway lets wait and see. I'll do a bit of H.W from my end , prob contact some HP dealers or assosiates at Bangalore and check out reg the bulk purchase... I am sure this sort of interest for a single lappy has never happened , so all the more reason to expect a good price...

first of all lets all of us agree that we want 9 cell battery instead of 6 cell.

i think we cans surely shell out more money for this gr8 .

one more thing we are forgetting the sales tax and vat factor , even c.s.t .

three days back i had talked to dell people and they told me these things are extra and could escalate our prices by 5-6 k.

these taxes vary from state to state except central sales tax .

moreover we still haven't got any approval from mr.pagal that we could use the name of pagalguy to strengthen our case to hp people , we could easily persuade hp people about the reputation/goodwill they will earn by giving good discount to pagalguy members as it is the largeat mba forum .

moreover the publicity thy will enjoy will be huge . we can leverage on these things to get max benefits .

i have pm to pagal but still hasn't received any reply , i dont know about the whole system in pagalguy like administration .

Abbey who is this Mr.Pagal ? Are you talking about Allwin aka Pagalguy ?

This is an insane world, and words like administration and other jargons are considered as cusswords. I'll talk to Allwin, once things are discussed out on this thread and lets see what happens. Either way I think its a win-win situation for both.

For me, mean=median=mode=55K.. (this includes the taxes)

a deviation of 1-2K is 'acceptable'...


About the 9-cell battery thing.. i'm game for it.. even if it means shelling out anything upto 1K extra for it. Windows.. Cut-it yaar...
