its a gr8 initiative by puneites
but i think this post was started in november and i am not sure whether its upto some work now.

hey nice 2c tht there r some socially conscious ppl out there,
i am from pune , buy currently pursuing my mba AT HYD.
anyways, my mom works for a reputed NGO in pune,
if anyone's interested in doing some kinda social work , like on weekends or evenings,
PM me , i will then send u the NGO's contact no .

hey guys..

this is great work.. really nice that u r m,aking an effort to help those not as lucky as you.
While i was studying in Pune, i was involved ina bit of community service myself...we had sort of adopted an orphanage Sant Garoba in kalyani Nagar and used to visit the kids, get them clothes and slippers and take them out for trips to Appu Ghar ..etc.
after college the group sort of broke up...but its heartening to know that you guys are planning to do somethin along similar lines..
anyway...i have a friend in Pune who has a group doing social work and helping out orphans.
She is on the lookout for new members and volunteers to help her out.
So if you guys are interested...i can give you guys her number(after asking her abt this) and maybeyou guys can coordinate with her..

After my earlier posts in this thread I did receive mails from many Pune PG towards volunteering for these activities but unfortunately we could find any direction, now I can get in touch with them too..... and there are already few here....May be we can work out something
