Hey
If your really serious about kicking your addiction people, you can't just say "Ok, I'll just reduce the number of cigs i smoke everyday by one, maybe that'll work". It does not work.
Ozzy Osborne of the ex Black Sabbath fame said in his interview that he'd tried every kind of drug he could get his hands on, and has now gotten over everything as well, but the most difficult thing to get rid of was his addiction to nicotine.
See, cigarettes are not just bad for your health. They indicate that you are an ADDICT. Yeah, I know that sounds really bad, but that's coz it IS that bad. And atleast cocaine or heroine will kill you in a little while, eventually. But not so with nicotine. Oh no, nicotine kills you slowly, painfully torturing you to death. Now your mind would rationalise that thats ok as long as you don't feel your body dying, or that its a great way to go, so why give it up anyway?? However, when it starts to get really difficult to breathe; when you're 35 years old and don't have the energy to play basketball with your kid, when you're 40 and find yourself breathing bitter fumes through an inhaler every half hour, when you're 50 and your lungs feel like they're going to explode with pain, THEN you'll wish you'd tried harder to give up smoking when you could.
Don't let the owners of Marlboro or Wills or any other of these legalized drug dealers profit at the cost of your health, or get rich off your pain, people... Remember, there is no cure for asthma, or cancer. You just die in agony.
