Hi folks,
we have started working on a newsletter *in english* for MVF. it might go on to a print newsletter too. either going to be quarterly or monthly. the audience is adult, primarily other NGOs, people who are interested in child labour issues, and people who want to help out. why are we doing this ? because a) its a great way folks can contribute to the CS initiatives even if they are locationally disadvantaged b) MVF wants it c) its in sync with what we do best - spread info
structure of the newsletter kinda boiled down to this after having a talk with Ms. Dipa Sinha from MVF :
1. either an interview of someone from MVF or a self written article about his/her involvement, what MVF means to him/her, how has the experience been in dealing with child labour etc.
2. Activities done in the last month
3. Activities planned for the next month
4. A donor form – contacts for where people can send donations
5. An article on child labour/ primary education issues.
6. editorial
i was thinking we shud distribute it on print as well as have a e-version of it, to be mailed to a mailing group of interested subscribers. also, all editions of it wud be archived on the internet site for ppl to download.
2. and 3. we willl get from MVF. for 1, i need to send a questionnaire to be answered by MVF folks. 5 - we need to write a jhakkas article.
immediate action items :
1. come up with questionnaire - shameek
2. content for #2 and #3 - MVF
3. ideas/articles ! - everyone
irrespective of ur location, u shud be able to contribute to this. in fact, it would be great if one of us ( uday/praty/mkk/subbu et al ) could do a write up on the teachers training camp. we can add more articles if we have enough content
pls chip in with suggestions and help junta !
we HAVE to get a couple of editions out before we get busy with the international conf in november.
