Preparing the Special KIDS in Bangalore to make their dreams come true -

One of my ex-colleagues called me to say that he has a friend who is physically challenged, who has difficulty in talking, walking, writing & what not L. He also added that, he is trying to crack CAT for the past 3 years & needs some motivation as it is D Day the next day, & asked if I can please talk to him. I said “OK”.
His friend called me. His voice was shacking, for sometime it was very difficult for me to comprehend, but his emotions, yes I could understand even the unsaid.
Whenever he said, 3-4 of us (Physically challenged) prepared together, tears started rolling down  . I motivated him to the extend I knew, but to be frank I was motivated looking at his determination.
We are nothing infront of these special children rather the GOD’s own kids.
After the phone call, I started thinking, what will these special Kids gain by my tears. I can actually help them, if I want. I have been a student , I have been a teacher as well, I know what a student expects from a teacher & I hope I also know to read, what a special Kid expects from his teacher ie PATIENCE…
These thoughts have been haunting me since then & now I have come out to implement my toughts…
Why not a Free coaching for a Special Kid or an economically weak kid?.
Teachers:
Now to make my dream come true, I have come to you guys . Puys in Bangalore, who have been good students (toppers in Mocks) , who have good conceptual knowledge, who have the patience, who have the energy & time can be Good teachers in my dream institute. We need 2-3 teachers each for QA-DI-VA. Iam sure, 1-2 guys can’t handle the show as we might have personal commitments.
What will you gain as a teacher: Iam sorry to say, you will not get any salary as it is done out of humanity.You will gain the so called feeling called as self satisfaction, a true meaning of why we are here on this planet. When you sleep in the night, your heart is filled with happiness, because you have provided something to a person in need, you have helped a fellow human, who needs some support.
These teachers will be personally interviewed by me as there are some people whose intentions are not to help the needy, but just to gain a bullet point in their CV.
Students:
Initially we are planning to take 4-5 kids to start with. Request you all to help me out in identifying the needy. There may be a kid, whom you feel, if guided properly can get into an IIM. Send their details by PM to me, with your/their contacts details.These kids would be interviewed by me, personally.
These special Kids can be economically weak or physically challenged. Initially we are not including the visually challenged kids as we ourselves don’t have the expertise to handle them.
Tuition Fees: Your Determination & Love towards CAT/XAT/NMAT/JMET/FMS etc.
Others:
Puys who want to help, but still cannot due to geographical issues, can help us out with the material softcopy/hardcopy which you feel can help some kid.
Iam also talking to one of the leading coaching institutes regarding the premises/material for my special Kids. Hope, they will help us in this noble cause.Incase of any issues, Iam planning to start it from my home..
Tentative Starting period: Jan 15, 2009
Classes mostly in weekend for 2-3 hours on Saturdays/Sundays…
Finally, many people have thought such good things but have fizzled out due to various reasons. I herewith request you all to pray that GOD gives us the power to sustain for a longer period & help as many of his special kids as possible….

Great initiative Prem bhai!!!
I would like to volunteer myself for teaching and being a part of this noble cause.....
edit: after seeing the below post....
subject interested in teaching:
QA except geometry
DI (can handle LR if options are limited..else i guess LR should be taken by a more capable person...)....mainly interested in pie-chats,bar graphs,tables,etc ...

I have respected U right frm Day1 for ur attitude towards CAT and nw..I am respecting you for ur plans of dream institute......
and I swear infront of PG.....I WILL RESPECT YOU FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE....

I am interested in QA and may be a bit of LR......if I am allowed to participate in this ......
and a small suggestion frenzs....
how abt dividing specific areas in difficult topics and teaching them...coz difficult is difficult for most of us and....hence..lets divide and rule them...
also for VA....which is the problm for many of us....feel v shud have some sort of brainstormng abt this...as the battle is not fully won without monster va.....
pour in with ur ideas frenz...

I was worried rather apprehensive, How this intiative is going to gain responses..
Day 1 & I see some action..
Guys in other towns: You guys can help us by sending some material ie standard material or notes what you have made, anything & everything you guys feel fit, which can help a kid
You guys also guide us about some sources with which you have prepared & all
Also whenever you visit Bangalore, you can think/plan for a guest lecture ..
Also you guys can provide you with your contact/email IDs, so that after sometime we can introduce the email support within 8-10 hours from the time the query is raised (one of ur whoever sees the questions & knows the answer can reply directly)
Most of all, you can help me finding the kids in this big city..How can you help me in this...You might have some friends/relatives who are in Bangalore..
If you dont know, they may know somebody who is needy..

wow..some one for VA...sounds grt......
for students outside bangalore.....
I guess u can do the following.....
1.compile study material+strategies like time allocation etc..+short cuts+list of books u wud sugggest and wat not..evry thng possible.....hamara offices may printers hey...wat say puys...cant we provide them material??....
2. for toppers among toppers(yes..the CAT gods out here in pg)...if possible u can spend a day or two here ...just for touring purposes and get urself involved in teaching for a couple of hrs....especially during weekends.....so that u will have two birds in one shot...puys frm hyd/chennai can really try this option...blimey..it adds to their prep....and as usual..it may or may nt wrk out for evryone...
3. webcam mode of delivering ur lesson...may b a bit difficult though..
4.non interactive sessions like communication thru e mails....letters...
5.or a video presentation /powerpoint presentation ..just like hw we get in our aimcat discussion cd's..mail it to us..v will show them in our lappies...
but im repeating ..they may/maynot be possible....
will post out some more ideas..

bhai...almost same ideas...
for getting bunch of such students....one option cud be a news paper add...
guess news paper guys give it for free if we convince them a bit....
secondly....mobilizing this thru pg...and communicating abt this in various colleges in and arnd bangalore....
thnk second one works better than first....
interview.......im always ready bhai....
