anyways wht a great day it was!!
i would say we got to learnt more from Sumanth than probaly he got to learn from us....hope we can contribute to the success he truly deserves...
we discussed the major problems, how the course has to be planned and some motivational talk(In 1 line - beleive in yourself!!)...
and meeting phanthom was good....we got some pure gyaan from him

When i was just going through this tread, i came across this idea.
I feel one of the most difficult problem this special kids face is taking notes ..so, if we come up with the idea of recording the lectures and providing the CDs to them so that they can go through it whenever required, gonna help to a great extent.

Just an idea, i don't know whether it's taken care of . Thought of sharing it :-)

First day 17 Jan:

Objective Set : To mentor, develop the talent of Spurthi students so that they can be in 99+%ile in CAT 09 and be an inspiration for other special kids to realise their dreams.

Challenge #1 : As Sumanth says "Giving up is the easiest thing to do"
No doubt its a very challenging task, but I'm very optimistic about this as it is the dream project of Prem bhai - as you all know, a very passionate man with a never give up attitude.

During the session we became aware of the main challenges faced by special kids. One among them is the lack of opportunity in other top B-schools in India. (only IIM's and FMS have some seats) We hope we can do something on this issue too.
They surely have the talent, the only thing we need to ensure is they get more opportunities and a good mentor to give right direction and motivate them.
We also got a chance to interact with Anand (IIMI).

I kindly request everyone to spread the word, so that the deserving students don't miss out on this wonderful initiative.

Suggestions on how to make this project a success are welcome!

Madhu, I think every Govt aided insti would provide opportunity to the needy .. it is just the private instis who are not controlled by Govt and hence usually do not take into consideration some of the factors that are expected out of them ..

@Prem: Good to see this finally taking off :-) Good luck to all.

If the 'candidate' is reading this post I just hope he/she realizes that he/she needs to be as serious or more about this program and focussed than Prem and rest of the junta here is .. Otherwise things might not go as 'expected' .. No i am not saying bcoz i intend to demotivate you but because I want to warn you when you still have the time to correct yourself, if required. I wish you good luck nevertheless and need i say you can contact me anytime, just ask Prem for my contact details.

Saturday 17th Jan was a wonder full experience for me also. all these years I was the only person who taugth that i can crack CAT and get into IIM, Everyone else told me that it is not possible for ME. Now i have the cofidence that i have atleast a few people who believe in me.

With all your support I'm sure i will have all 7 IIM calls to my Name.

Hi prem and other puys,

congratulations prem for ur intiative. sorry for not being physicaly being in bangalore and not attending the inaugration but all wishes are with you and for all the puys who are giving their time and the faith which you guys are working.
for sure, after May, i'll be there in bangalore and would very much volunteer for the mentorship and teaching.

ALL the best to everyone and i'm definately surethe people for whom its all been done will come out with flying colors.

P.S: been not at all regular on pg since last 6 months or so, cat 2008 was a learning experience and so was xat, and now i'm back on track and have started my preparation for cat 2009 and would very much be participating in every thread.
