Now that sumanth has posted it on thread....I would like to start the classes from this Saturday itself..

The first class would obviously be to understand, the issues these Kids face & would sit down with Ananth to device the curriculum..

Next Class would be in the next weekend..

Request Hate & others who have shown interest to contact me via PM/Phone/email, so that I can fix a time for the interview..

Ps: Feb 1-10 Iam not in India, but want the classes to run by other puys..

Now that we have decided on the date & time...What next???, its the name..

We have named her as "SPURTI-DESIRING FOR THE DESERVED"

Herewith, I invite all puys to join the inauguration of Spurti at CL office, CMH road (Next to Sangeetha), Indiranagar at 1.30 PM on 17th January, Saturday..

2.00PM: We will have a talk with the aspiring teachers

2.30PM: The first class will start..

Request you all to wish the crawling Spurti to get the strength to standup, walk & finally run towards success..

One of the Best days of my Life...

Spurti finally took her first step at 1.45 PM

Hate, Sriram, Sandya,Madhu, rmbt came to start off the program...

The day started with Sumanth cutting the cake, it was a small gathering & we didnt had a big function or so, but it was precided over by Mr.Ajith, GM,CL, south...

We all spoke to Sumanth on understanding the issues to be addressed during the coming days...

Sumanth gave us his points too & with the difficulties these special kids face..

Most of us were moved by these points..

Overall it was a feel of satisfaction for all of us..

The surprising thing for Sumanth was that I promised him to introduce couple of IIM guys in the days to come & it happened that PHANTHOM (IIMI) was in town & we had an impromtu meet & Sumanth asked lots of questions & Phanthom aka anand answered them happily :-). He also promised us to get us the contacts of the challenged people who are in IIMI, so that we can get their ideas as well

I personally thank Phanthom,Hate, Sriram, Madhu, rmbt & Sandya for believing in SPURTI & extending their help...

More than anything,I thank GOD for giving me this day in my Life.

If any one thinks you can be of some help, please please please, spread the message about SPURTI to people whomever you know..Lets make one more kid fulfill his/her dream...

Just another regular Saturday in the offering....yawn.. This was my thought when I woke up early in the morning at 10.30 am..But it was not to be..It was a day which was a very memorable one in various aspects.. One where I got an opportunity to befriend some really really good people and one which witnessed the inauguration of Spurti,the dream child of Prem Bhai..

A quick SMS to the_hate at noon and I was on my way to the CL centre.. We were soon joined by Rajat(rmbt),Prem Bhai,Bhabhi,madhurima, Sandhya,Madhu and the man himself..Sumanth.. Over the day that we got to know Sumanth, he came across as a very enthusiastic person with a big heart... His passion towards CAT and more specifically the IIMs is something that I ve seldom seen before.. His grit and determination would serve as an inspiration to many... I was simply amazed by his clarity of thought.. I say this because , ask anyone what they d like to do 4-5 yrs down the lane, more often than not people just cook up bullshit.. But he has it all planned and has this particular roadmap in place.. I was thoroughly impressed with his thoughts.. Buddy,as much as we desire to get into an IIM, I sincerely hope that,come January 2010, you will have those seven magical alphabets across your name ABCLIKS too and convert all of them.. I m sure u ll do it and people will be more than happy to mentor you throughout the preparation stage..

I d like to highlight a point which Sumanth made today.. He felt that motivation/mentorship plays a crucial role in every person's preparation... He felt that there are many people who are challenged who neither have anyone motivating them nor mentoring them... I d take this opportunity to appeal to puys(irrespective of the places they are in) that in case should they do know someone who is challenged and who is taking up CAT, do try to help them out by talking to them, motivating them, helping them out with their weak areas,sitting down and solving questions with them,discussing methods, strategies,etc.. It would all but take a small effort from our side.. For the people who are challenged, it d mean a lot.. It d act as a revitaliser and boost their confidence..


Everyone has a desire to do something on these lines but dont have the opportunity.. We in Bangalore have been lucky that Prem Bhai took the initiative but it would be great if people can actually replicate this concept across other cities as well..
In any case,as Spurti evolves,it ll require many resources with which puys from other cities can help out..

I d like to make another point.. People may tend to have apprehensions (eg- I have never done something like this before, I am no serial CAT killer who can help out, I am OK but not good enough to mentor others,etc) I d suggest giving it a sincere shot before coming to any conclusions..

As Prem Bhai said, its just the start.. Hope we are actually successful in carrying this program forward and hope Sumanth and the people who d be joining us as days go by, end up cracking CAT left,right and center and are in a position to actually call the shots when it comes to deciding between BLACKIS..


P.S.- There was a surprise visitor in the form of phantom(anand) and it was a pleasure meeting him.. Ended up getting all nostalgic abt my good ol college days in Chennai.. Harrowed anand a little by enquiring abt every person i knew frm SVCE,Chennai..

P.P.S- Sumanth, I have added "How to change the world" to my must read list

Well, we had one yesterday...Lets see if we can have one in near future..

But I would like to get on to the act immediately rather than dwelling into everything..

we all took an oath yesterday, "from tomorrow, no one is going to talk about reservation for the special kids..Lets try hard to ensure if these kids can hit a 97+ in all sections & an overall of 99+"..

I know its not going be easy at all..But will give my everything for trying that target..

So from the next class, we are not going to look at the cutoffs for the category..forget it...

I believe in what I have said (aiming 97+ is possible..Lets try, try, try..even if we fail, we still have the reservation as the back up) & Sumanth believes in us..

Next Class would be on 30th (as Sumanth is not available next weekend)..

Venue: CL, Jayanagar..will let you know the time..

Anybody interested can come in..

Prem,

Congratulation to your team for the launch of 'SPURTI'. Its indeed a pleasure to know that your dream finally has begun to take the journey. Wish everyone to be blessed with enough strenght to make this a success.
All puys, request you few things to be done from your side.

- anyone having contacts in media like radio to ask them to announce about this program. This will help to create awarness among the people.
- Help from puys outside bangalore. Not in terms of material, but initiating this program in their cities as well.
- Try to initiate an article in local news papers about the program.


As Prem said, the entry to IIM's should be made through capability, and these candidates are capable enough to compete with all of us. So let us all come together and show what capability exactly means.

Prem, require the list of people who are ready to take classes. This will help you as well as me to provide the class if by chance we are unable to take it.

Keep up the good work. Call me for any assistance required.
