Saurabh_numb, you could also click on the link and apply as a volunteer. Btw, posting contact numbers on the main discussion board is prohibited. I am surprised how the snippers have not acted yet.
I submitted the volunteer's form around 2 months back but dint get any reply...Now I have done it again today...when shud I expect to hear from them...

I am sorry to hear that 99.27. I was under the impression that someone was taking care of the volunteer's form on a regular basis. I would try to check for you.

Also, in response to a poster who wanted to donate used clothes I read in a news daily that an NGO "goonj" is looking for such donations. Check www.goonj.org for more details

Hi All

with the rather haphazard manner in which information is floating around on PG (for that matter on other forums as well), came up with the idea of gathering the interested junta on some day in July in Delhi (for a start) for a open house discussion on GMAT Prep/B-Schools/Fin Aid/Visa issues etc. basically the whole loop.
However to ensure that
1) only the serious turn up
2) we ensure some help to the neglected classes of our society

the whole thing will be a "dutch" style. everybody contributes towards the costs incurred in the process and an additional amount of some donation/contribution towards some cause/NGO.

Do pour in with your comments/suggestions.

Mods: This thread is going to be repeated in atleast 2 other areas for the targeted population. Kindly condone.

Cheers

hi 99

as Vipin wisely pointed out, by July more admits wud be able to attend (thereby directly enriching the whole experience). Also for the fact that the fin aid work wud be over for these fellas. a lot of ppl wud be about to give GMAT in august and sept (heavy months), so it wud suit them too.

and i am not sure i get the link between preparing for GMAT and securing info on fin aid?

I did not plan to bring in any faculy cause simply i do not believe GMAT prep requires any specialised course or course material. plus, they dont come for free
anyhow i can try if more hoots are given on the faculty.
but simply put i am more in touch with ppl who will be joining this yar. if i get some other info i am waiting for, i cud ask alumni to attend too. that is a long shot but i cud try. no promises though.

Cheers

well the thing is ...I have no idea about the financial aspect... about how much minimum sum of money u need to have of your own......normally how long does is take to repay the loan.....do the universities give financal aid in mba like they do for MS.....I know all these things vary depending on person's background ,past experience and I m sure after meeting few ppl who have done that and knowing their experinces(if they r alumni)...I will be in a better position to make decision regarding preparing for gmat or preparing again for CAT.
