Dear friends,
My name is Kapil Rawat. I am a MBA student at IESE, Barcelona.
Currently, I am doing an exchange term at Ross, University of
Michigan. I have initiated a non profit venture named Project
Lakshya.
Project Lakshya aims to provide career counselling to school
students in India. We will empower the students by allowing them
access to experienced professionals from diverse backgrounds.
Students will connect with professionals through:
- Online message boards
- Guest lectures at schools
Since the launch of our web site (
www.lakshya. net.in) in May 2006,
we have registered more than 230 individuals willing to contribute
to the venture.
On 1st of October 2006, we launched personal message boards on
our site. Every professional will have his or her personal message
board and any Lakshya member can look at the profile of the
professional and ask relevant questions.
This venture does not need a lot of money but it does need lots of
support and enthusiasm from professionals who realise the need for
our school students to take intelligent career decisions.
