Volunteering Opportunities in Kerala (Cochin) - 22-03-2006, 02:28 AM

Hi everybody,

I'm posting this message on behalf of the Shilpa Institue in Cochin, a school which specialises in helping children with neuro-disabilities. The 100 students attending the school have varying degrees of mental disability: at least 20% of the students are profoundly handicapped while 30% of students suffer from MR. At least 60% of our children suffer from epilepsy. Visit the website at http://www.shilpasociety.org/ to find out more about these beautiful children!

We're looking for people who have some sort of experience in writing project plans that could be sent to funding organisations. If you think you could help for maybe 5 hours a week helping then contact me at niyatichoc@aol.com. I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks a lot!

Niyati

Hi,
I read your post.I live in Cochin and am trying to secure funds for an NGO for educating poor children.I hope to create some revenue through the web by pasting ads on my site. Maybe you could try such a plan and generate funds on your own instead of relying too much own funding organisations.
My website is http://udaysankar-entrepreneur.blogspot.com and I will provide a link and post about the shilpsa society on my site. Don't hesitate to contact me by email(uday.kandolath@gmail.com) or phone (9447185477) if urgent.
Wish you the best in your venture.
