From December 1-3, 2005, the Habitat JAM will gather your input and add it to thousands of others to turn ideas into actions for the Vancouver World Urban Forum agenda and influence the Forum's content.
It is along the lines of Un-Habitat program and supported by IBM.
Broadly there are six topics that are going to be discussed in the forum
(1) Improving the lives of Slum dwellers.
(2) Sustainable access to water.
(3) Environmental Sustainability.
(4) Safety and Security.
(5) Finance and Governance.
(6) Humanity the future of our cities.
There would be representatives from national/local governments and international organizations, elected leaders and legislators, urban planners and architects, grassroots organizations and global NGOs, experts and academics, financiers and builders, and development specialists in the JAM.
You can discuss with them, listen to their views, give your thoughts, and findings.
