QUES2. involves the truthtellers and the liars. It goes like this: You're trying to get to Truthtown. You come to a fork in the road. One road leads to Truthtown (where everyone tells the truth), the other to Liartown (where everyone lies). At the fork is a man from one of those towns -- but which one? You get to ask him one question to discover the way. What's the question?:grab:

dude
I think the answer to the question about truthtown should be

"How can I reach ur place"
Both will point to Truthtown only

truthtown man will point to his town properly

man from false town also will point to his town wrongly which incidentally is the route to truthtown.

Afterall u getback only what u gave him assuming that he din have any money but assuring that he gets paid everyday and
off course ASSUMING that HE DOESNT SPEND THE GOLD PIECE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

If a bear walks one mile south, turns left and walks one mile to the east and then turns left again and walks one mile north and arrives at its original position, what is the color of the bear.

Also plz explain how many squares can be formed in a chessboard

I think the answer to the question about truthtown should be

"How can I reach ur place"
Both will point to Truthtown only

Kartik C
The logic for subtracting 4*9C2 was that the outermost four boundary lines can never be diagonals of any polygon we can make from the 81 points.

Now each line has 9 points and no. of line segments from these 9 points are 9C2
so for 4 lines, total number of line segments are 4*9C2.

And for the number of squares in the chess board, they are 1+2^2 +3^2 +4^2 +...+8^2 =204
