Kindly elaborate | It's given 13M take 48 days. ----> 1
and 16M + 12B -> 26 days
Assume 16M + xM -> 26 days (where x is men) --->2
on solving 1 and 2 we get x=8
i.e. 8M = 12B
Hope it's clear now? Also, how did you get 19? Post your approach too…

Let speeds be a/min and b/min
So total work= 6(a+b)
and
4a+6b=(4/5)*6(a+b)=>6b=4a or a=3b/2
So time by slow typist 6(b+3b/2)/b=15 mins | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to prakharc For This Useful Post:

and 4/x + 6/y = 4/5
solving both we get 6x = 4y
or x = 2y/3
putting this in (1) and solving for y we get y = 15 min. and x = 10 min. So the slower of them would finish the job in 15 min. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to srikar2097 For This Useful Post:

answer to the second question...
(assuming that c starts to demolish the work when initially there was no work done...)
-1/20(1st day) + (1/10+1/15-1/20)(2 nd day) + (1/10+1/15-1/20) (3rd day)+ ......
first 3 days work=11/60
addind 7/60 * 7=49/60
total 10 dys work gets completed.
so ans 10 days .... | | | | | | | |
